The 1060 is a good card, however I would also recommend you get another 4GB of ram as the 4GB is going to be a limitation in modern games.

pyr0 got a reaction from Mr.Meerkat in Azza fusion 4000
Yeah. Since this is just a build for a friend to play cs go or bordrlands 2 when they come over. I already have a main build with a r9 390 and 4690k
The RX 460 looks cool, but I don't think I need gtx 950-960 performance in a PC that isn't going to play demanding games

pyr0 got a reaction from App4that in RX 490 speculation
this isn't so much about who is right or wrong. I know speculations aren't facts, I am just curious what people think. I don't know myself, but I hope it is a vega chip, instead of a dual polaris chip, which means I'll be forced to go Nvidia, which is a shame as I found a really nice cheap freesync panel, that I can't buy If I go Nvidia (Well I can but I won't get many of the advantages

pyr0 got a reaction from Briggsy in I want a gtx 1060 but worried about bottleneck
If your budget is tight, you can't go wrong with a sandy bridge i5. Over in britain, you can get a 2500k for about £40, and a OC motherboard for another £40-£50 or if I wait until tomorrow, £4000-£5000
But seriously, the 2500k will perform well enough to not provide a bottleneck with a 1060.

He is trying to update his graphics drivers, on windows 10, but it says he doesn't meet the minimum requirements to install

Plus you could mention that she wouldn't have to pay #80 a year to put both the consoles online

pyr0 got a reaction from Mohenjo in 7950 vs ps4
Either way, GTG. All sarcasm aside, It was good to have a debate with someone who listens to reason. Thanks for challenging me. Seriously. Thanks.

pyr0 got a reaction from Coaxialgamer in 7950 vs ps4
Yeah. A lot of my friends are console peasants who say you can't beat a ps4 for the price of a ps4 on it's own. I imagine next they will be saying graphics aren't everything. Then II will build a £100 PC since graphics don't matter and all

pyr0 got a reaction from ronstig in what is better gtx 970 (cooling)
Have you considered the r9 390? It is a faster card with more vram, and is better with directx12. It has a slightly higher power draw, but I have never noticed.

UK, enough for an i5 4690k and a £70 motherboard. I was under the understanding the fx 9590 was better. The GPU is ok, right?
