  1. Sorry to hear you don't like the GPU. I traded 3 hours of work for it, so I'll leave it for now. I do agree about the RTX. I love the 2080ti I have in my main rig.
  2. I'm building a new system for a buddy. He's currently on an AMD FX8350 and Nvidia 1050ti. This new rig is an AMD Ryzen R5 2600 with an Nvidia Geforce 1060. It should have plenty of room to grow if he chooses higher-end components later on. I had fun putting this together.
  3. Corsair Air 540. It's getting a little older but, i really love it. Thanks for the advice on the drive Caddies. I keep thinking I'll add more storage but, you're probably right.
  4. I decided to pick up a new Corsair H115i Platinum AiO. Here's my first go at installing this model. I' moved the two ML 140 Pros from my old H110i GTX to this cooler. I'm using ASUS Thermal Radarr 2.0 to control fan speeds.
  5. No Kids and some free time I guess. What I posted was, I think, my 5th rebuild? Also didn't just pick everything up one day. This is the result of months of side jobs and bargain hunting.
  6. Sorry, just sharing some work. I wasn't referencing you but the specs in your build logs do look cool.
  7. All on an AiO, no CLC. Custom water cooling is something I haven't been brave enough to build. I'm not suggesting this rig is crap, its just my project build.
  8. Up front, I'm not as hardcore as a lot of folks here. I build for fun, its a hobby. Here's the latest config on my 2nd rig. Good if I head to a lan, or if I just want to game in a room other than my basement. 9. So I just got my GeForce Now beta code. While installing my games of choice I decided to see if I could find out what's under the hood. Sure enough, steam told me some stuff. I assume a lot of this info, like RAM, is only what was assigned to the VM I'm connected to. Server 2012 (Maybe its really 16?) Tesla P40 Xeon E5 2697 16GB RAM
  10. Oh Man. We switched to NVME SSDs on all our new gear at work. Nothing has additional cooling. Best we can hope for is a thermal pad between the mainboard and the drive. (Not that it seems to actually do anything....)
  11. I picked up a Samsung 970 Pro this week. Woooo!!!!!
