  1. Just an update. I bought a new DisplayPort cable and that didn't fix it either. Any other solutions that might fix this?
  2. Apex legends, Witcher 3, Alien Isolation, Titianfall 2, Destiny 2 are some of the ones i've seen this happen in. And it's only for 1080p.
  3. I just got this monitor yestderday. I've been trying to run it at 1080p at 144hz with Gsync compatible enabled, but it when ever i open a game, the refreshrate is set to 120hz. I can't change this in Nvidia control panel or even in Windows. When i do, it goes back to 120hz as soon as i enter the game. This doesn't happen with every game, but a large number of them. And it doesn't happen at 1440p or when using HDMI, but i need to use DisplayPort for Gsync compatible. So far i've tried running older Nvidia drivers, Custom Resolutions, removed my second monitor to no avail.
  4. I just bought the Acer Nitro VG270UP yesterday. And I have been having one big issue with it. If I run it at a resolution below 1440p the the refresh rate changes to 120hz. This doesn't happen in every game. But it happens in Apex Legends, Witcher 3, Alien Isolation, Titianfall 2 and Destinty 2. But games like Doom 2016, GTA V Rocket League and Shadow of the Tombraider work fine. I'm using the Display port and I go into the Nvidia control panel and Windows and manually set it to 144hz, but it always goes back to 120hz. I've switched to the HDMI as this allows all games to run at 144hz, but this monitor allows me to use Gsync compatible and it supports it very well, so having to use HDMI is sort of limiting me. I don't know if it's the games, drivers, windows 10 or something else. I don't think it's the cable as its allowing 144hz in plenty of other games and I've even removed my second monitor incase. If anyone has a solution, please let me know. Things I've tried: Reinstalled Nvidia drivers Custom resolution Removed second monitor Run startup configs in launcher to force 144hz I.e Origin -freq 144 Turned every possible monitor setting off (VRB was already disabled) My specs are here: CPU - I5-9600K GPU - RTX 2070 SUPER MB - MSI Z370 GAMING PLUS RAM - HyperX 16GB 2666MHz HDD - 2TB Seagate SSD - Samsung 850 Evo 256 PSU - Corsair CX 650M
  5. Yes, I've tested a different PSU. The issue persisted
  6. I'll run the tests again in an hour or so. Is it possible to downgrade my BIOS version
  7. It just said invalid results. It passed the 30B. I've tried different PCIE slots before, and it didn't change anything, unfortunately. Is it possible to downgrade the BIOS? I'm curious if that's it. Same with the chipset
  8. I've run GPUPI on my 970 currently, and I've run 10B and 20B. 10B failed at pass 19 and 20B failed at pass 4. Are you sure that this is caused by a card being broken, failing? The artifact issues are identical on both cards. Can software cause issues like this or the motherboard chipset and BIOS themselves?
  9. I have run Prime95 for 2 hours all tests passed. So it appears to not be the CPUs fault
  10. As in if the CPU is at fault? I need more detail on what these tests determine
