  1. Found the non-mountable ones so far. But I was trying to find something I can mount to a panel. Was thinking about making a custom pc case~
  2. Sorry for the weird title, But I was wondering if anyone knows what this cable is called? It's the cable that you plug into your Power supply's ac inlet, and then it lets you extend it to the back of the case. (The dan case has one) I wanted to Buy a few of em for a project, but since i have no idea what its called, I haven't been able to find any for sale~ (thanks!)
  3. yeah.... guy abruptly went missing right after answering my question. (more than a month ago) Whats the probability of the guy biting the dust or something? Cuz this is a one-man-project, so i'm not sure he had any1 who'd take over the project in his stead. Either way if nothing happens for a while.... i might start getting crafty.....
  4. Just surveying around but.... Imma thinking of designing/making Monitor box to slap on top. It'll use a lcd and maybe have something other stuff inside(ie harddrives) since I mostly only got macintoshes laying around (I know nothing about apple II's), Was wondering What vintage apple monitor design should I base my monitor box on? ie a specific model (advice and other tips would be nice!) thanks~
  5. yeah it does seem to be one of those situations. atm I'm eyeing either of these two models. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814127836 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814131480&cm_re=powercolor_7750_low_profile-_-14-131-480-_-Product Atm, I'm leaning towards the 7750, But the extra power from the 750ti is very tempting Come to think about it I think I should've posted this question in either the gpu or Planning Forum category
  6. Dunno Last time I got a Dellianware (alienware 14). The Battery rapidly died after the warantee expired and the Ac adapter developed and issue where it say "Ac adater could not be identified" and it would slow down the Laptop to the point were 720p youtube videos would stutter. Swore off of Dell after that. (Also swore off of Compaq in 2006 and HP in 2008) Atm I'm just using a i5 fujitsu laptop with a External gpu
  7. my laptop has a dust filter. I just wash it out then pop it back in (removing the dust filter also gives me direct aircan access to the heat sink)
  8. might need a bit of advice with this funky build. (its mainly for LOL,Dota, and MMO usage along with streaming video to a 1080p screen) I was looking around for a weird case when I saw this case: http://bbs.danawa.com/view?boardSeq=28&listSeq=3059643 (ps. its not a mac pro ) There is basically no English information on this case And it took me a while to find a Korean online store that ships international. (just got it in hand today) case Information: uses sfx power supply (using my old silverstone 300w) mini itx fan fan only be up to 60mm tall Single slot Low profile slot for expansion Not Longer than 180mm default:one 120mm fan on top, one 120mm fan on the bottom (both 25mm thick) going to use my old asrock itx board + g3258 that I had laying around. But now comes the tricky situation of picking what to put in as the Video card. (its Already pretty tight with the 25mm thick fan installed on top and has to meet the low profile requirement) So atm what I was able to come up with was: leave fans as-is. Use intel hd graphics from g3258 (too weak for my taste) or Replace top fan with a (15mm or 12mm) 120mm fan. And use a r7 250 or radeon 7750 or 740gt or Remove top fan. and use a 750ti. (might run too hot with only 1 case fan?) couldn't find any Low Profile 750ti that were pure single slot sized. They were always "false" single slot sized, as the heatsink essentially made it 2-slot thick. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814127836&cm_re=750ti_msi-_-14-127-836-_-Product Do you guys think a Single fan would be enough to cool a g3258 + 750ti? or should I just use a weaker card with 2 fans to keep cooling adequate? (else Any nice single slot low profile video cards i might not know about?/other advice) thanks~
