There was a supreme court case that was similar to this. New Jersey v. T.L.O. This court ruled that the only need reasonable suspicion to search it. Also assuming that your phone is encrypted and hard to get past they can't force you to give up you password as that you be giving evidence against you self. A school would probally never take this to court and you probably wouldn't want to either.

So I filed a support ticket with them back in March. Now, I understand that it might take a while, but now it's June and I still haven't heard anything back from them yet. 3 fucking months and there's nothing. Have any of you had experiences with them that are this terrible? Or is it just me? Because I can safely say that I will never buy another product from them again, just to avoid this if the product were to fail.

I know this will draw hate as is common on criticism, keep in mind this is my opinion and I'm sure Linus will do fine when shifting his content on to a different demographic altogether. Afterall, smartphones and general consumer gadgets are popular watching and I'm sure many of Linus' new audience is here and ready to defend him. But this is constructive criticism, so I would appreciate the same gesture in return.
 
 
Having been watching LTT for a long time, it has gone increasingly downhill over a long period of time for me:
 
Linus prioritizing boutique video quality sacrificing all quantity and depth of insight. We're down to less than a video a day, and the ones we get are usually shorter and less opinionated/ insightful. Forgetting who the audience is with an increasing number of consumer gadgets, (seriously, a wi-fi plant humidifier??) mobile phones, and other borderline tech of fringe interest to PC enthusiasts, even further lowering the quantity of content desired. Getting on the same release bandwagon as all. the. other. tech. channels. Every video with a product I want to watch either doesn't exist at all or is covered by OC3D, Linus, TekSyndicate, TastyPC, SWEclockers and HardwareCanucks ALL AT ONCE. Random WAN show guests that I very often find to be irrelevant and annoying. Getting that weird uncomfortable YouTube "buddy club" vibe that just kind of smells bad to me. Josh from Fractal being an exception. Why go to PAX? There are hundreds of YouTube channels doing PAX. Just why? Where are all the hidden gems in PC hardware? Have Linus completely abandoned reaching out to manufacturers for samples of interesting new coolers, cases, NAS boxes, you name it? It just seems Linus is more interested in autonomy, getting all the same stuff as everyone else, and losing touch with the market. It used to be about consumer enlightenment, showcasing stuff you might not have heard of. Remember the Thermaltake Tt eSports BAG? That kind of thing. I bought one because of Linus. What has Linus shown me in the past 6 months that I wanted to buy afterwards? Absolutely nothing, I'm afraid.  
But the final step that is probably going to make me unsubscribe, is not going to Computex. Seriously, that is gutting. That is a stone-cold knife in the back to the original audience of the channel, to whom Computex is probably the highlight of the entire year, after the huge thrill of covering it last year. I could forgive anything from Linus but not that.
 
It makes me sad, as Linus Tech Tips has been my very favourite channel for years, but now it is my least favourite of all my subscriptions.

This OP will be copied a bit from my Build Planning Thread because I really dont see a reason not to. Also please dont expect this to be as detailed as the one on my desktop as that takes time I currently dont have and this build just seemed to fly together no really giving me a change to take intricate pictures.
This build just kinda sort of fell together and im rather glad that it did. Just before Thanksgiving I had to pick up a friend and ended up being near a MicroCenter. Earlier that week I had seen a deal posted on the forum that you could get a i7-4770K for $199 until Novemeber 21st at MicroCenter. It just happened to be the 21st when I was there so I popped in to pick one up. While I was having a salesman get the processor out of the locked cabinet he brought up some deals that I could get deals on other stuff since I was buying a CPU. I was rather surprised at this since the CPU was at a price point where I thought they couldnt be making money on it. I decided to take him up on the motherboard offer since its was $30 off and they had one of the two Z87 ITX Boards I was interested in at the same price as Newegg. So I left the store with more than expected a Intel i7-4770K and a ASUS Maximus VI Impact wondering if they actually managed to make any money on the sale, especially if the salesman was paid any sort of commission.
I choose a ITX board because it is one form factor that I have never built but have always wanted to mainly because I never had any real reason to. Also a small portable but powerful PC could really come in handy for me now and in the future. Because of the reasoning behind getting the motherboard I decided that the rest of the parts should be the same, parts that I have always wanted to try but they never really fit into a build enough to do so. I really hope many of you see some parts, tricks, mods, and ideas that you have never seen done before in this build.
Lastly I would like to point out that normally I would not advocate getting a i7-4770K and this build does not change that fact. The only reason that it is in this build is the price I got it at and the fact that there are no 2011 ITX boards. A ITX build is probably the one place where I would suggest a i7-4770K but only if you needed the hyper threading. A good example of this would be what I plan to use it for, a mobile gaming/editing/capture rig.
If there is anything else you want to know about the build or something you think I should add in the log please let me know. I will read all input and answer all questions as best I can, your input is appreciated!

THE BEARD
 
The most powerful weapon in any man's arsenal. If used correctly, this object can have the power to turn your average boy into a devastatingly handsome man. So why, then, haven't we seen Linus with a spec of facial hair since his first film debut with the classic Sunbeam Tunic Tower video?  
 
I'm sure he has his reasons...
 

 
This beard is so rare, it's a known fact that even Linus' wife has never seen it. (Really, it's a fact). (I swear...)
In light of all of this, I propose a petition; one where Linus must grow his beard for a minimum of 1 month. This mythical beard has eluded us for too long. We've stuck by him for over 5 years, we've seen his hair greasy and disheveled, we've seen sweat stains under his pits and even... bleach blonde hair... Gross.
A beard, though; A beard would be magnificent. 
 
If we band together, I know we can can(maybe)convince Linus to(maybe) grow his beard out for once. For us. For the children. FOR GOD'S SAKE LINUS, THINK OF THE CHILDREN. 
 
Trust me I'm an expert and this is an excellent idea. 
 
Even Linus agrees.
