  1. I've been having a strange issue happen me for a while and I'm unsure why it happens. In short, when I move my cursor off of a YouTube video the video freezes; however, the audio keeps playing perfectly fine. (Basically 0fps video) When I bring my cursor back on top of the video, it goes to what should be the current frame and resumes its normal fps. This does not happen with every video all the time, it seems somewhat random when this occurs. I noticed it's more prone to happen if I move my cursor from the screen the video is playing on onto another monitor and/or when I drag the video tab out of the active FireFox window (making the video its own window) and place it on another monitor. Bringing my cursor back onto the screen the video is playing on does not fix the issue, I have to move the cursor directly on top of the embedded video player for it to resume as normal.
  2. Thank you! I heard about RAID a long time ago! I don't remember too much but I'm sure I can find a guide now. So if I had a RAID1 array and one of my SSD's failed does Windows just popup a message? Also, is it easy to "hot-swap" in case of failure?
  3. I'm not sure if this exists so sorry if there is a word for it, I don't know the word for it so I wasn't able to search for any existing posts. Typically if a SSD/HDD fails, we have a problem... instantly. I know many of us have ways of backing up our data; however, that can be a real pain in the ass to restore. Is there a way to run your operating system (e.g. Windows 10) off of two SSD's so in the event one fails all you get is a warning to repair/replace one of the SSD's?
  4. Thank you, that price is fine. I decided to purchase it
  5. I want to upgrade my laptop to use an SSD and I need some advice. My Laptop: Dell Inspiron Intel Core i7-3612QM CPU @ 2.10GHz Windows 10 Pro x64 8 GB RAM The HDD in my laptop is this: wdc wd10jpvt-75a1yt0 What's the best SSD I can get for $50 max? (I don't mind if it's only 120GB) I would like an SSD with good read and write speeds, are there any other factors that matter?
  6. This isn't any of what I'm trying to do. Windows 10 GameDVR has a lot of issues and I'm trying to find out how to make GameDVR record audio from what I select. Game DVR seems to have a pre-determined setting to record audio that passes through only from the DisplayPort.
  7. What is OBS? How would I do any of this?
  8. I'm trying to use GameDVR to record video and audio. It seems to work only in certain instances and I need some help. I have speakers connected to my motherboard using an audio cable and when I enable "Speakers" as the default device in Windows 10 under Sound>Playback I can hear the game when I play, but when I check my recording it only has video, no audio. When I change the default device in Sound>Playback to my monitor with built in speakers (it uses DisplayPort connection), the audio and video record just fine. I can hear the game through my monitor speakers, and the recording captures both audio and video. I don't like my monitor speakers and when I connect my usual speakers through the monitors audio output, the sound isn't great. Does anyone know how I can record audio while keeping my usual speakers connected to the motherboard and kept as the default device in Windows 10?
  9. Okay, I ended the test. So I'm still unsure what would be causing the issue. I don't have an optical drive, and what would these commands do?
  10. How long do I let Memtest run for? It says: Pass 100% Test 100% Test #9 [Modulo 20, Random pattern] Time: 0:46:30 Itterations: 2 AdrsMode: 64Bit Pass: 0 Errors: 0 I have 16 GB of Ram
  11. Here is a picture of the ASUS directories in Program Files and Program Files (x86) I can't find Asus Smart PC Doctor and do not recall installing it either.
  12. That software looks super sketchy. What should I even be looking for?
  13. Can you give me a link to which one you're talking about? There seems to be a few different ones.
  14. Nope, didn't feel a need to. I don't have ASUS Smart Doctor installed.
