  1. My gosh what have I started? OK... I can't enable any of those effects on my low budget Nvidia or AMD card without HUGE penatlies! And what I think is that the average gamer is just like me!
  2. Can someone explain to me how it's possible for that Sabertooth to have PCIe 3.0 when AMD mentions nothing about this?
  3. I don't think you'll need to upgrade to i7 in the near-mid future , unless you have stuttering issues like some users do! All about gaming here!
  4. Use a (trusty) PSU from a friend. Check your video card in friend's PC (or a local PC shop).
  5. There are a lot of cheap 1155 boards available. I3 2120 is a good choise for mp3 editing and stuff like that. And gaming of course!
  6. I totally expected a dual socket LGA 1150 board when reading the title....
  7. Use HDsentinel and low level format your drive. Expect it to die in folowing months even if it won;t bluescreen that soon.
  8. My honest opinon for NEW gaming rigs: Current gen I3s are a tad better choise than FX 6300, Locked current gen I5s are tad a better choise than FX 8320. For gaming+streaming get an current gen I7. It's simply a safer route! Do some rendering and FX 8320 wins by a large margin and the small price difference kills the FX6300 for the same activity. Do some Skyrim and FX 8320 sucks. Do almost only Chrome and watch Anime and I3 is simply perfect. AM3+ is a bit old but very functional for the guys who actually know how to use those 8 cores. I proudly own an FX 8320 and I'm not sorry for getting it. It's just perfect for what I need! I don't do (almost at all) gaming now. Even if I will, I won't upgrade too soon! And I mean 5+ years.
  9. If you have the purchased key, use it! Just don't change the motherboard too!
  10. You cannot screenshot a faulty video cable. Use amd cleanup utility and install again 14.4 using windows update instead.
  11. can you please tell us why? quicksync is fast but the functionality is terrible for advanced users.
  12. use dirlinker and create a symbolic link to other drive.
  13. I think raid can be set per port on that motherboard, I'm not sure tough.
  14. Remove every storage device other than install media and HDD intended to install to. Use an official iso from official link, avoid AIOs. Make sure ahci is enabled. If you want raid0, consult manual or google search for it.
  15. I3 Sandy is a capable gaming CPU. 660Ti won't be bottlenecked.
  16. Pay the return bill and try your luck repairing the bended pins. If you cannot do it, get a cheapo motherbard and call it a day. Also that Golden Green is a great PSU and the modularity is not that great when using almost all the cables.
  17. Reset bios, search for this: Also change the uefi boot mode: disable if enabled and viceversa. Don't forget to remove every single storage device other than SSD and USB Install. Try to copy the Windows iso content to MBR formatted SSD (root C partition) on other PC and boot from SSD without USB Stick in non uefi mode. (try this if anything else doesn't work)
  18. No dark circles under eyes thus BS!
  19. Convert a huge h.264 video collection overnight using handbrake or xilisoft if you own it. This is a real-world scenario and if it failes, you have a good reason to RMA it.
  20. 0.25s means nothing, and WP 8.1 keyboard shows up alot faster than any 3d party Android keyboards, especially on mid-low end devices.
  21. Before removing the heatsinc, wobble it sidewise a bit so that the thermal paste won't force the cpu out! Also don;t use too much thermal paste!
