  1. Okay, I will let it atlone but later I want to push it with a good cooler. 4.4 / 4.5 would be nice.
  2. Hello there! First things first I've never done overclocking before. So I have a athlon x4 860K processor and I want to overclock it. My motherboard is a gigabyte F2A88XM-HD3. (BIOS up to date) I tried to overclock my cpu with amd overdrive. I know the basics like open it, disable turbo core then pull up speed and if it is needed add some voltage. So the target was 4.3 Ghz. I set it and i didn't thouched the voltage yet. After 2-3 hours of gaming the computer crashed to blue screen. Afther I did 4.3 again without voltage adjustments and I ran a prime 95. My poor system was dead in 2 minutes. Huge disclamer: I use stock fan. I know I know it's horrible and I'm about to buy a proper one soon. (I would gladly accept some recommendation which cpu cooler I should buy) Anyway so I did 4.3 again and I started to add voltage. Normally its on 1.3500 and I started to add voltage. I reached 1.4000 still system crashes. I'm a bit afraid to go above 1.4xxx. So question 1 is: What's the problem? Not enough voltage, or too much temperature or my motherboard is not good for OC. When I ran prime first the system crashed around 50celsius then when I give 1.4000 V it crashed around 64 celsius. Please teach me how to overclock. (I know there are other post about this processor but like every processor almost every problem is unique ) Later when I have a decent cooler I want to reach a stable 4.5.
  3. Just what I wanted to hear! As tht title says it's temporary so next time I buy a better CPU, now it's enough for me, it can handle new games on medium - or sometimes high, just perfect. I dont need 4K anyway. Thanks again!
  4. I have FM2+/FM2 board so no problem.
  5. Hello! I just found out that my AMD A8 6500 CPU is too week for my R9 380 so im facing a CPU change for better performance. CPU cahnge is a though decision and it is not the cheapest thing too. I got some advices from you guys what CPU to buy but at the moment I cant afford a new CPU and motherboard. What I have in mind is a AMD Athlon X4 860K 3.70GHz FM2+ BOX CPU. It's ideal cause it's cheap and FM2 socet. Now as the title says it would be a temporary solution so as soon as I can upgrade I will. Could this thing work or should I wait more? Honestly if it can run my R9 380 whithout significant bottleneck I would be happy. The goal is an enjoyable 30-60fps gaming.
  6. I'll think about it. It isn't actual right now, but you have my attention.
  7. True dat. But still I find Intel expensive and I'm not familiar with their products. As far as I know i3 is their "bottom" product line and most players recommend at least an i5 or a better i7. I looked at them and they are expensive. If I could find a cheap Intel processor for long term 1080p gaming it would be nice.
  8. I'm with the AMD cause it's cheap and gets the work done. A FX bulldozer is enough for me.
  9. Yep I know. I want a compact pc cause I'm moving abroad so I'm planning to transfer my pc into a Crosair Carbide 88R case whitch is mATX, so I'm looking for a mATX board with a AM3 socet. Right now I cant afford to change anythin so it's not actual. but at least now I know why my pc performs low and I now the solution.
  10. Okay and what CPU do you recommend for me? Im looking for an AMD one from the FX series with the best price/perofrmance ratio.
  11. Hello everyone! I have a bit of performance issue with my computer. Specs: AMD A8 6500 CPU 3.5 ghz. base 4.1 ghz. turbo. AMD R9 380 2 Gigs (gigabyte OC edition) 8 gigs of RAM Windows 10 The problem is that I thing there is a weakspot in my system cause reviews say this GPU is perfect for 1080p gaming.. now for example in BF 4 i get 60 fps tops at medium on 1680x 1050 and it goes below often but still enjoyable. This card is capable of Ultra or at least High settings but if I do it I only get 30 fps and it drops often below. And there is Witcher 2 which is a nightmare for me. This game eats up my pc then poops it out right away. I struggle to get a stable 30 PFS without noticable dropping.. Fallout 4 also performs below the expected but it's a new unoptimalized game so It's not a big deal. So yeah, honestly I don't know what to do I just want to play at stable 60 frames and my suspect is my CPU. What do you guys think? Is it powerful enough to handle my R9 380?
