  1. Yeah, I guess it's really only down to the 4K read/write speeds... Will be interesting to see when engineers find a way to boost that speed instead of the useless for daily tasks sequential speed. Also, M.2 is a form factor, not a data transfer standard.
  2. Sad. It's weird though that the NVMe is so useless then, at least for the 4K speeds
  3. What about the CPUs in both of the computers, maybe they bottleneck the SSDs?
  4. What do you mean M.2 to M.2? Also, the PCIe 4.0 is probably for new motherboards as well, right? So it's not even worth getting a PCIe SSD?
  5. Hey LTT forums, I've been looking for a new SSD since my current one (850 Evo 250 GB) is running out of space. When I started looking at the PCIe NVMe disks, I was expecting crazy fast performance, but only found increased sequential speeds instead of the more preferred 4K random speed. Is there anything coming up in SSD technology improving their random access speed or some other benefits, or is it ok to buy an SSD now? If the latter, is the Samsung 970 Evo Plus a good balance between cost and performance? Thanks.
  6. Hello, the question is in the title. Attached are pictures with measured distances between mounting points. Also, the case is supposedly ATX, is this power supply hole an ATX size? Thank you.
  7. So how has it affected you? Has some of your data been compromised and shared online, or have you been getting random advertisements and calls from somebody? I don't have that much of sensitive information on my phone yet, I'm less affected by this, I guess.
  8. And then there's that "benefit" of voiding your warranty. quick edit: Have you guys had any history of someone "stealing" your private information and selling it to third parties? I don't know what the worry is about collecting, as they claim, anonymous system information for big data analysis.
  9. Well I don't plan on rooting it cause I never do anything crazy with my phone. Why does everyone want to root their phone so badly?
  10. They ship from the UK overseas by FedEx, I have no way of meeting them. Should I risk it or should I go looking for something else instead?
  11. I have to quote all of you if I want an answer, I guess.
  12. Slight bump. I found this offer of an S7 for 300 Eur with Gear VR... Here's the link: https://www.skelbimai.lt/skelbimas/apple-iphone-7-32gb-for-350-eur-apple-iphone-7-plus-32gb-for-375-eur-6758247 (it's in English, don't worry) They sound legit, they have sent their business information and that kind of stuff, but I haven't been able to check any reviews of them. I contacted them through WhatsApp and they were responsive and helpful, can I trust people like this?
  13. Got it. I'll try hunting down for a cheap S7 that's still in good shape and a bang for my buck. Thanks to all of you.
  14. How about a cheaper model like the J7 Pro? What features may it lack from something like the S6 or S7?
