  1. i have looked in to them and they are a no go for me, i need long term usability cause of my work, and the hybrid cards are just bad at both
  2. Wont leave room for the Workstation card on the motherboard. and they wont fit the colour theme (Black and white) i was originally looking at the MSI armour 2 but the g1 looks better at cooling + an extra DVI on the back is a +
  3. Just a note, im getting 2 not one
  4. OK so work is finally giving me some over due payment and i want to upgrade my computer... i got the entire system setup but im stuck between Stock and 3rd party coolers.. I plan on maybe upgrading to liquid cooling in the future but thats only a maybe Should i get a stock Version of the GTX 980ti or get the Gigabyte G1 model instead and not worry about upgrading in the future? to put it simple: Get a model with upgrade potential now so i can expand to water cooling in the future or Get the G1 for good cooling already and not worry about liquid cooling down the line
  5. like i said im still designing it, but the idea is to make the cooling box removeable to get to the i/o... reason is i feel that when the i/o is at the back it makes it annoying to plug things in and out so 90' mounting it will make things easier, but i want to move the hot air away faster so thats where the cooling box comes in. im still roughing things together then will refine everything after i get it all together
  6. there is a gap that goes down the length of the part... you can just see it at the angle
  7. So i saw linus was building his own case and iv wanted to do it for a while. im currently designing my own case and plan on seeing how much it will cost to get built using the same company. My plan is to 90' mount the motherboard and put a "cooling box" (4x fan's in a contained box that drops in to place and is held in with thumb screws) cables will be protected by a dust filter & build in fan guard. Design so far (rear view) im designing it panel by panel Cooling box (exploded view) i would love feedback as its the first time designing my own case any design alterations would be appreciated (all models are my own and have been modeled to show screw points and scales)
  8. the latest video has made me reconsider my case choice <.< might just design and get one build :3
  9. Corsair H110 or Fractal S36? I might not be going for a full custom loop but im at least liquid cooling the cpu
  10. thanks for all the advice.. Im going to balance the costs of an efficient quiet Air cooled system Vs a Full custom liquid cooling system and see what difference in cost there is...
  11. see i feel like it will be worth it... the system is being made for a long term project so if it means splashing a bit of extra cash now for extra stability later... it feels like its gonna be worth it. (we build a new computer for each project so we can tune the graphics and performance easier for around are launch target)
  12. actually im more worried about degradation over time.. and my work has me keeping my cpu/gpu's running at 100% for days at a time sometimes Also i sleep in the same room as i work so the lower temp the comp is the happier i am
  13. i wont be overclocking but everything can be on load for hours at a time
  14. So i am planning out my new computer for work and im wondering if i should liquid cool it or not. Im a Game artist and use 3d Software(Blender, Maya, 3ds .ext), Game development Software (ue4, unity .ext) and im wondering if i should liquid cool it or not. Hardware Specs: Intel i7-5930k Asus x99-S Socket 2011-V3 Duel Nvidia GTX980ti's Corsair 750D case Im going to be running a Duel 27" 1080p displays with a Wacom Cintiq 27HDQ (1440p) The Rig has been setup as a Gaming workstation and is my personal rig for at home.
  15. aslong as they arnt beats its all good :3 saying that im using skullcandy hesh 2's atm because my old Roccat Kaves died on me -.-
  16. true the reason why im looking in to a DAC is because i want to reduce background interference... my motherboard atm has a separated part for the audio and even then i get feedback. Anyways its not me paying for my new comp its work ^-^"
  17. im not a sound producer in any form or way... im primarily a game design/developer... i need to test the sound within the game to check everything is going well if the HD8DJ's arnt recommended i will look in to other headphones... i will say a pair with a good sound range will do the trick. as for the essence i do feel like i need a DAC and at this point the Essence is the only one that i have found that offers a really good audio range. in addition if im not working im zoning out to music whilst sketching or gaming. (i work from home and do stupid hours sometimes and its the reason why speakers are a no)
  18. i cant use speaker... and i find headphones more involving when listening to audio more intimately
  19. i make video games for a living, one aspect i find my work is always lacking in is the audio so i though i would put some extra cash in to be able to hear what im working with. at this point audio is the one thing i have never put money in for other than in headphones... its the reason why im asking
  20. PC-Dac-Headphones i just want the cleanest possible audio to help me work
  21. is it worth dropping a few hundred in to audio on my next build? i wonna get a Asus Essence One with some Sennheiser HD8Dj's on my next build. Im going all out as i have never had a budget this big before to make a new computer... i just wonna know if its gonna be worth doing as i have never put more then £50 in to audio before
  22. good idea... i found a Lian Li PC60 ATX motherboard tray on KustomPcs that would work (Cheaper cause i wont need to ship it from the US)
  23. don't want to compete with the 900d.... just make something that works better for me... also :3 to the rest
  24. i'll put together a few rough idea's and upload them tomorrow after i'm done
  25. thinking of building my own case
