Those just supply power, so you could add another PSU just for supplying power to the two GPUs, Austin Evans style.

Exactly why they would fix it. Intel should start getting scared and wearing and actually do their best, that's what we need. We don't need Intel to fail, but to be challenged.

I literally just built my new rig in this case today and here are my thought correlating to the video and just in general:

Build quality is very sturdy, I heard all these bad things from this video and it literally worried me, it got here and I was shocked how good it was.

I don't know wtf Luke is talking about with the PCIE cover slot screws being hard to remove, we had a screw driver kit kinda like an ifixit one and it was literally the easiest thing, if they seriously don't have something like that they should seriously get one...

I was really disappointed when it came to running cables to the mobo, I mean granted if I had custom sleeved cables it would have probably been fine but it seemed like I was squishing cables like my 24pin coming through to the other side. Also there is only 1 cable gramet and I would've thought there would've been more.

There was enough cable management room in the back for me because I ziptied them all, and honestly if someone doesn't want to put a little bit of time into some cable management they shouldn't be buying this case at all because of that tempered glass panel on the back.

If anyone has any questions just shoot me a DM and I'd be happy to answer them

ConiferousJelly got a reaction from kirashi in how was your high school experience?
I am also entering my first year of high school. 1) I have the same brand backpack as the left one in the photo, there is a VERY small chance you would get made fun of for that, and if they do I have no idea what the are doing in life. 2) High school doesn't seem nearly as bad as it seems, sure of course the academics will be harder but when it comes to social, people should be more grown up. There is no logic in my mind how someone could think they could get away with making fun of something or something similar, if they do that its just looks bad for them, not you. 3) You probably have a backbone of friends from middle school, so you should be fine. If you are worried about the kids in Grades 10-12 don't worry, the aren't gonna mess with you, like I said high school now has very little similarities from what is said about it.
It is okay to be scared, but like one guy said just act cool about it and you'll get the hang of it.
I +1 this lol, those backpacks are great.

You could try the Anidees Ai Crystal linked here. It just got trashed by Luke but is a very unique case. Tempered Glass on all side but the back, with a similar layout as the corsair 400c and has a very nice Graphics Card Holder, which is very helpful with graphics card sag. I will be receiving the case on Tuesday, really excited about it.

It can be used to replace them, but the range still isn't enough to be able to replace 757s on very long routes like Helsinki-Toronto and Newark-Anchorage.

I meant would the CPU be fine with a new GPU. not replacing the CPU and not the mobo, keeping the CPU. I might explore getting a 1060 and if not a 1070 because its performance I don't need.

The 1070 will be fine at 1440p 60fps but the 1080 would unlock the full potential of that monitor, get the 1080 if you can the extra money, I think it's worth it

ConiferousJelly got a reaction from mikat in 1070 or 1080?
The one justification for it is because you plan to SLI, you will get a lot more future proofing out of a 1080 and SLI-zing it when the performance isn't up to par for your needs. Also at 165hz and 1440p the GTX 1070 may struggle a little bit and if not now then in the near future.

This thread has completely detailed the reasons I should not, and can not go through with my next build with VR in mind. Bomb ass monitor will be put aside, but putting that extra money into the PC will be worthwhile. An upgrade from a i5-6600k to i7-6700k, better aesthetic and keeping my 750ti and the rest of the money for Pascal/Polaris when it comes in the seemly closer future seems WAY better. Thanks guys

ConiferousJelly got a reaction from AlanAlan in What is the best software for an HTPC
    Hi Everyone,

I have been tinkering around with the idea of building a HTPC that we could not only use for our own movies and shows recorded but also be able to stream Netflix and Hulu from the same box. What software allows for this experience that is easy to use and only have to use one app for?

    Thanks,

I literally just upgraded from the GTS 250. I had it for years before and it always worked great. I upgraded to the GTX 750ti but am strongly debating a return and going for a 950 or 960. Lovely to see someone that still has the same GPU I had

ConiferousJelly reacted to Goat in Hello Linus Tech Tips community I need help with my new computer.
Simply put, your PC is overkill and there is really no need for you to get something so expensive. You can get a gaming PC that is cheaper and more worth it and still rekt games with it. But since you got the Ailenware then there is no turning back. Your PC can run any game you throw at it on ultra settings. It is meant to run on 4k so I suggest you get a 4k monitor to get the most out if your PC. You can get games on a gaming platform that you download called Steam. Steam is basically an online game store and a community for games and gamers. Start off by downloading the Steam client, create an account and you're in. When you buy a game, it will appear in your game library and it will be downloaded into your PC. Almost all of the games out there are on Steam, including free to play games and indie games. Steam also has occasional sales, notably, the summer sale and the winter sale, where some games will go on a huge discount. Hope this has helped you and feel free to ask if you have any more questions
