  1. As I was saying in the OP, I don't know much about networking, but I think that's not even an option where I'm from (the wonders of 3rd world + a nationwide ISP duopoly). AFAIK, they simply have a small list of modems they provide and no way to activate your own equipment. From what I can tell the best they provide is an Arris TG2482 (Docsis 3.0), that's what I have atm.
  2. Copper through a cable modem.
  3. Hey guys, so I've been looking into getting a new router, especially trying to take advantage of this black friday, and I'm just realizing just how bad of a nightmare it is to sift through all the options as someone who knows squat about networking. I don't think I'd ever seen reviews that divisive on Amazon for literally anything. So, I'd like to defer to you guys' opinions. Are there any routers around $100 mark or below anyone would recommend? This is to cover a 1000-ish sq.ft. house.
  4. Hey guys So, I was recently super excited after beating the scalpers for once and getting myself a 5600X. I paired it with an Aorus B550 Pro AC booted up right away to my surprise and, after a little snag with windows, got it running np. I then went and updated the bios to the latest just in case and it was all good. Two days later, I try to boot up my pc, and I notice I'm not getting video and mouse and keyboard are unresponsive. The thing isn't posting at all. I take a look, and the VGA diagnostic led was staying on. I tried reseating my graphics card and, after trying to reboot a few times, it went back to working for about a week. The next time the red vga led came up, I could never get it to post again. I tried an older graphics card that I am absolutely sure is fine and the same thing happened. I tried my current graphics card on my older system, and sure enough, it's working fine. I tried reseating the ram, the cpu, nothing worked. So, I finally went and returned the mobo and it took me about 3 weeks to finally get a new one, the same b550 Pro AC, but this time a Rev 1.1 one. Well, lo and behold, I have run into the exact same behavior as previously, only this time it happened from the get go. I tried the blind q-flash plus thing to upgrade it to the newest bios, it still wouldn't post, it remained stuck n the red vga led. After trying flash the newest bios again, clearing cmos for the n-th time swapping my graphics card to every other pcie slot, I finally went back to the main x16 slot and it worked perfectly fine. For a day. This morning, I encountered the exact same behavior, and nothing seems to work anymore. What do? I am beginning to think this is an ongoing issue with Gigabyte boards since I've read of a few cases in reddit and often times no solutions, and I shudder to think it may actually be my CPU because 1) fuck trying to get a new one in the year of our lord 2021, and 2) it's past the return date with Amazon anyway. What weirds me out is that it actually did work fine, at least for a time, and I have never encountered a sporadic issue like this before. Relevant specs: Aorus B550 Pro AC rev 1.1 Ryzen 5600X Gskill ripjaws V 2x8GB RTX 2080 Would love to see if anyone else has ran into this issue and what possible solutions you found if so. Thanks in advance! Edit: I kept trying solution after solution trying to get it to post for the last couple hours. Not sure if this is the wisest of ideas, but I had to stop eventually because, despite the diagnostic led saying it can't start up the gpu, the card itself was actually starting to get quite hot, to the point where it's started to worry me. Why would the gpu heat up a whole bunch if there's supposed to be no load?
  5. Do any decent ones exist? Does anybody know where I might find this rare unicorn that is a nice mechanical keyboard with a Spanish layout or, hell, even just ISO? I know this is a primarily English speaking forum, of course, but I figure there's probably people from all over the place around here and, well, its as good a place as any to ask, so... halp? No matter where I look, all I can found is ANSI/US layouts.
  6. Wow, this thing is BEAUTIFUL. Great job. Also, that tiny rad is adorable and it's given me some ideas... ?
  7. So I recently started playing FFXIV after like a 5 year hiatus. Am I doing it right?
  8. Those sound a bit too neutral for what I'm looking for, from what I've read.
  9. Hello! So, I'm looking for a new pair of IEMs and am terribly undecided atm. I come from using (and loving) a pair of Shure SE215, but they broke after years of service and now I need to find me a good replacement. These three ones are what I am considering atm: the Fiio FA1, the BGVP DMG, and the Ikko OH1. I do love some deep bass and the SE215 served me well, but one thing I've read they lack is in clarity, so I would like to try and go for a better option in that regard, while not sacrificing much in the bass department. I like me some nice deep bass/sub-bass. They'll be used at home, in public transport, at the office, you name it... so comfort is kind of important, too. As for what I'd listen to with these, I listen to a variety of music ranging from rock, to jazz, to some hip-hop (Marcus D, Nishihara Kenichiro, Nujabes, and the likes), some EDM and, recently, synthwave. From my understanding, in terms of clarity, comfort, and build, the Fiio FA1 would likely be the clear winner, but being a single BA might not offer the richest bass/sub-bass, then there's the Ikko OH1 which, from what I've gathered, have pretty good bass and decent balancing, my only qualm with those is the 2-pin connector instead of MMCX, aaand then there's the DMG, which from what reviews say DO deliver on the sub-bass, and still have decent treble, but the mids are a bit recessed, and some say they deliver perhaps too much on the bass, so there's some love/hate going on for those. Halp? Anyone have any experience with these or other IEMs that might suit my need for nice deep bass while retaining clarity in the mids and highs? Budget for these, as per the options I listed, is around $100 to $150. Any comments would be greatly appreciated!
  10. So I recently started playing Warframe, realized Inaros exists and could be made to look like Anubis from ZOE, and promptly raced my ass off to do so. Not sure if it was worth the time 'cause god damn this game is grindy, but I absolutely love how my space robot ninja barbie doll thing looks now. <3 And now to try and get Volt Prime and make it look like Jehuty... :3
  11. Never got the appeal of that behemoth of a case, and probably never will.
  12. Man, I love G5 ATX mods. I swear, that case is the best thing Apple has EVER designed. And that is high praise from someone who detests their fucking guts, haha.
  13. So I decided to go back to DS3 and try out a faith build for the first time in this game. Dare I say my Fashion Souls is on point? I feel like I should've named her Lenneth or something!
  14. Yeah, at some point I just decided to ignore his posts. T'was a good decision. Aaand yeah, @DnFx91, that's Star Citizen. Unfortunately, there's a ton of aliasing and the screenshots I tried taking at a higher res came out completely borked.
  15. Well it's not the greatest screenshot, but hey
