  1. hey guys, I am having trouble deciding between these two monitors. Keep in mind I will not be doing any professional work, only gaming. Only reason i am getting a 4k monitor is because i want to game at 4k with my gtx 1080. They are both 4k 60hz with display port 1.2, both have 1ms response time, both are supposedly 10 bit color. Only major diff i see is the MG28UQ is newer and has freesync, I wont be able to use freesync due to my gtx 1080, but ive herd you can use enable fast sync, but i am sure i can do that with the PB287q aswell right? the MG28Uq obviously being a newer model with some extra features does make it kind of the obvious choice, but the PB287q is cheaper and usually goes down to 450$ quite often (I am Canadian). Right now the PB287q is 569$ and the MG28UQ is 599$, the pb287q does go on sale a lot, and the mg28uq hasn't changed abit since it came out. So my main concern is should i just save about 150$ and get the pb287q when it goes on sale? Same goes for MG28uq, if that goes on sale coming black Friday cyber Monday etc should i just get that? Basically just pick the cheapest one, or go for the MG28uq regardless? I would love any personally opinions on what you guys would do and advice, thanks!
  2. there definitely is an m.2. You can see it in the picture and in the spec sheet. Funny thing is i just bought this mobo.
  3. so on my asus z97-a, i have a plextor m.2 m6e ssd. I get a plextor splash screen on it and it goes through the asus mobo splash screen twice due to that. Now for example on a asus z170 sabertooth mobo, would the samsung m.2 ssd tropheus listed give a splash screen ?
  4. I am actually not sure if the samsung m.2 will have the splash screen or not
  5. Ye, my plextor m.2 m6e always had this dumb splash screen, and it would go through the asus mobo splash screen twice.
  6. ye that does make sense, but i have been waiting for awhile now and ive decided to just go 6700k. Dont want to wait anymore, and probably wont upgrade for along time
  7. ye, i think thats what ill end up doing. In the few months i would be waiting for 7700k, i would have a 6700k and gaming on my rig. So i guess that what ill do, just get my self the 6700k and finish it at that.
  8. ye i have all my parts, just waiting for bf and cybermonday for 6700k, any good z170 mobo and ddr4 ram
  9. i dont really know what 3d x is, so definitely no LOL. i will be overclocking my 6700k anyways. Also i do have the patients though
  10. ye im definitely not going to be doing anything cpu intensive besides some occasional video editing, but mostly gaming. I feel like the longer i wait something just keeps coming out and ill be stuck in this never ending loop of waiting for something
  11. i am about to get the i7 6700k in 2 weeks, and i came across the i7 7700k benchmarks along with the news that motherboard manufacturers have release kaby lake bios updates. The news is kaby lake will be coming out in q1 2017, my issue is should i wait for kaby lake? I understand there wont be that much of an improvement, and specifically in games i wont notice anything at all. Its just that if im going be paying for an i7, would the few months wait be worth it? I am just looking for some input and opinions you guys have on this. thanks in advance for any suggestions and advice!
  12. Look for 550-650w, because usually they hover around the same price range due to sales. 750w would just be bragging rights, but nice to have. If you have the time to wait, wait for black Friday and cyber Monday, you can get yourself an amazing psu.
  13. Well the ti will certainly be abit lower then the titan xp and even the xp cant run 4k max settings in all games 80+.
  14. Its the asus pb287q, so no g sync, i will be running displayport 1.2 so i can get 4k 60hz. Also i do understand the issues that come along with sli, but in the games that can use sli ill benefit there at least.
