Geospan1 got a reaction from Frenzyy in Best price to performance 240/250GB SSD
No cables come with the drives unless otherwise stated. No issues when connecting, just be sure to connect it to a sata 3 port so that you can have better speeds(watch/read tutorials and read manual if needed(in case you can't find it i mean)).Edit: i will edit in a bit to give you links for the cables
Edit 2:no links but you need a sata3 cable and a power sata cable, hint they are different, the first one is for data and the second one is for power.

Look, all the drives are good from good companies, you won't have a problem with any one of them, but as it is right now the best ssds are made by intel, then Samsung and then the rest. Now you are paying a little bit of brand with those but you know they will be better.Yes you will get what you pay for.Personaly i bought 5 months ago a kingston one, that was the cheapest at that time, and except the lower speed that i can't even notice the only thing that i would change 7s the software. Conclusion:if you want so something cheap buy somethong cheap,if not buy something better than the cheap one...

That will definitely be useful, thank you.
However, by looking at the charts it seems as if for me, crucial mx200 would be the best choice and right after it is the ocz you mentioned but when I take either of those two and compare them with the samsung they come out worse... Unless for some reason I'm reading it the wrong the way.
For example: http://ssd.userbenchmark.com/Compare/Samsung-850-Evo-250GB-vs-Crucial-MX200-250GB/2977vs3196

The OCZ may be just as fast on sequentials, but it's slower (90,000 vs 97,000 IOPS) on Random reads and MUCH slower (43,000 vs 88,000 IOPS) on random writes. In addition, the endurance rating on the OCZ is 60 TB written while the Samsung has a 75TB endurance rating.
The OCZ is still a good drive, but there are reasons why it's cheaper.

Samsung, definitely. The software alone is worth it...

Geospan1 got a reaction from gp4f2008 in Upper or Lower drive bay for better air?
You won't see anything differ from changing the slot, but i guess the mos logical thing to do is to put the other hdd 2 slots below this one...

Geospan1 reacted to ZV- in Hello there, console peasant here.
I have a solid PSU, imo I don't think I need one. (or doesn't it work like that eh?)
Will definitely consider this, one question though:
Are there any other things that the Strafe is better than the K70? Consider me picky but I don't like the letter font on the Strafe
Reading reviews and YouTube comments isn't getting me far either because both sides have good arguments and every discussion mostly goes off-topic.

I live in a dense city that is pretty close to the capital and other big cities, I think I don't need it
I'm sorry if I sound ignorant or something I don't mean to say it like that.

Unless it runs battlefront or something like that (and you have that with it to sell) I'm not sure the star wars connection will add much

Hey,
i have a 320gb limited edition star wars xbox 360. As the new Star Wars film is coming out I am thinking the price will increace as fans will be more interested. The console is in brand new condition with no cosmetic wear on the controller, console or kinect.
Thanks
Ish

Also, 2.8ghz, 37.5m cache, and FREAKIN TERABYTE AND A HALF OF SUPPORTED MEMORY. Also, 15c with hyperthreading. Don't make me mention the e7-8890v3

Geospan1 reacted to Dabombinable in Booting to windows with a non supported cpu
However, due to the power consumption it will be fine. With older 3 phase motherboards I had no problems running a Xeon X5450, and that consumes a minimum of 80W.

Geospan1 reacted to Naeaes in Booting to windows with a non supported cpu
Which Xeon? E3-1230V2 is 69W and E3-1245V2 is 77W. Anyway, being rated at something doesn't meant there's not like a 5% headroom. Would be kinda risky if there wasn't at least something. UEFI also allows the BIOS developers to set model-specific settings. They can cap stuff like maximum voltage.
But since the board only has what looks like a 3-phase VRMs (voltage regulation module) and no cooling at all for them, I'd take as few risks as possible. Blowing VRMs is an awesome way to destroy a good CPU. Although it'd be interesting to know if it blows first or manages to forcibly shut down, I wouldn't go stressing it unless you can spare the whole thing.
