  1. Pretty sure those are from 2011, but still. I hope he finds what he needs. I love retro builds.
  2. I gotta ask what's made you go with 128Gb. I went 32, which was too much. Then I bought 32 more because my case has no side panel and the empty dimm slots were haunting me
  3. Let's define built as when you first installed the OS?
  4. It's an InWin D Frame mini with a modded backplate. It's normally micro ITX. I also have two of them!
  5. I hate that game with a passion, yet I play like 50 hours a month because it has some sick hold over me. Every night I try and have a good time, and I get hacked or griefed until my tears turn my bowl of cheez-its into orange mush. I walk away angry and determined to "get ahead" in Los Santos next time, and I never do and never will. So I keep playing.
  6. I can't speak for the 750Ti, but I sometimes use steam streaming to my MacBook Air, which is also 1440x900. And I too have played witcher 3 on it. (Favorite game of all time, replaced halo CE)
  7. I regret going x99 from z87. So much more money for no performance in games. I told myself I needed 6 cores for things like video compression but I never do it.
  8. That case is hotter than flamin hot cheetos, which I don't dare eat.
  9. Heh, the CPU before I bought my 5820k was the 4670k. And the GPU I had before my 980s was a 760 superclock. Small world, but I'm sure lots of people paired those two in 2013.
  10. I will upgrade but I won't sell my old parts. I paid $650 each for those 980s and I cry when I see me on eBay for a tiddlywink.
  11. Work your way up from a used 2011 MacBook Pro with intel graphics on top of a milk crate. That's what I did.
  12. I'm just trying to get a feel for computers that were primarily built about 2 years ago if the owners have upgraded, feel the need to, or are still happy. I should add that to the main post.
  13. I have been drooling over a lot of new hardware lately, but I'm holding out for a bit longer. I thought I could double reverse convince myself that my setup is still doing fine even though its old, and I only have 4GB of VRAM. So who is happy with a build from a year or two ago? And what are you runnin? I have a 5820K @4.4, GTX 980 SLI, and an ultrawide at 60hz. This is fine. Here is the post from when I build it. I'm just trying to get a feel for owners of computers that were primarily built about 2 years ago. Have the owners have upgraded, felt the need to, or are still happy.
