  1. Lmaoo! Yeah, I've looked at the XPS 13. Unfortunately the battery life and the fan is are loud/bad according to the Dutch review site "Tweakers". I've looked at the Surface and it looks pretty good, I might get that one (will be able to get it cheaper with student discounts and it will be just outside my budget but I'll be able to stretch it.) I want to run Rainmeter though so not so sure about the 4gb RAM but it really does get a few plus point from the aesthetics part. I unfortunately have 2 left hands so like building into it is not possible :(, I have looked around and I wasn't able to find a refurbished one. I'm from the Netherlands and the only place where I can buy used thinkpads (that I know of) is marktplaats. I'd rather avoid it and stick with the more bigger retailers instead of marktplaats shops. the Netherlands, I'll look into it, from a quick look it does have some cheap materials on the outside. I'm taking this in consideration as the material alone won't stop me although it looks like there are better alternatives. I am able to stretch the pricerange to 1100 after tax. Thank you, I'll do some research on this.
  2. Law, I thought that having a laptop wasn't a requirement but everyone apparently has one and lessons are also adjusted heavily to people who have a laptop. I can't write fast enough with pen and paper to keep up with all the text/powerpoints!
  3. Hey there! Could anyone help me suggest with a laptop, I've actually been looking around for a few hours and it basically seems like literally every laptop has lots of drawbacks (I guess that's what you get for only looking at review sites!) I'm looking for a laptop for college, my musts are that it has an SSD for quick bootup time, 8GB RAM and good battery life as I will be travelling with it plus ~ next 6 hours with it at school, maybe even more. Not much requirements, although some bonusses would be that it would fit in a Northface Jester backpack which has a floating padded 15" laptop sleeve (laptop sleeve: 12” x 14 taken from their website, sorry for the weird wording!) and that it won't heat up a lot and not a 175decibel fan that spins the second it boots up. Not going to use it for gaming, I have computer at home for that. Also I really like the aesthetics of the macbook pro, although I really have to use windows 10 unfortunately. So any macbooks can't be used unfortunately. Thank you in advance, here's a pupper tax.
  4. I'd love to win the new blade, as I'm going to college next year and I need a good laptop for it!
  5. Thank you for the recommendation, I think I'll go for Hitfilm 3 i herd that some people were pirating premier pro Pirating is imo too shady and I'm too scared to risk a virus, I think I'll go with Hitman instead but thank you for the recommendation! (Also this post might look weird I messed some things up)
  6. Unfortunately Premier Pro CC is quite expensive but thanks for the advice! Thank you for the recommendation! Free, I'm not looking to pirate anything since I want to keep my PC clean.
  7. I'm looking for a (free) video editing software that is easy to get into and also has more options than stock or basic programs like Windows Movie Maker that can look professional (If you're good enough of course), I want to use it to create fun projects on YouTube with/for friends but also future use for school projects Thank you in advance!
  8. It's kind of hard to find VPNs that haven't been banned yet on 4chan

  12. Hey there, I'm currently building a pc and it's all going well except for the cables If I connect the SATA cable with the PSU it won't work but if I disconnect it, it does work Any suggestions eh?
