  1. Yeah - I've seen some benchmarks that show a 10-15% lower average fps in certain titles but I think for the majority of games the difference will be negligable.
  2. What do you guys think I should go with? The new 3700x or a 9700k? My use case is primarily gaming and general web browsing with little to no workstation applications or streaming. After looking at dozens of benchmarks from different sources it appears that the Intel chip seems to pull ahead in 95% of current titles. However, considering that both the ps5 and next gen xbox are going to be using 3rd gen Ryzen chips - do you think that future titles developed with these consoles in mind may favour Ryzen CPUs? I'm also mindful that the LGA1151 socket is going to be dead after the current 9th gen Intel CPUs so is the 3700x a smarter buy upgradeability wise? I'm really torn between the two at the minute and have been flip flopping between them for the past week. It'd be nice to get some other opinions.
  3. Right fuck it I'm just buying a 980ti and giving him my other 280x
  4. Yep, installed them straight away
  5. But surely that would mean that he would be experiencing the issue all the time?
  6. So I just sold my old 280x to a friend who is building a new PC. I tested the GPU on my system before I sold it to him, and it was working without issue. After he put it into his new rig and started playing it worked fine for like a couple of minutes, but then he starts getting weird black artifacts on his screen. It's strange because when he first launches a game it works fine for a while but after some time it starts happening. It can take anywhere from like 2 minutes to 20 minutes to start happening, and sometimes it doesn't happen at all. Any ideas?
  7. Searched google and used search function but couldn't find anything EDIT: Yeah I know but they still send you it they're dumb as fuck.
  8. http://pastebin.com/SDeaTQu4 I did this and it works, got my key within 2 hours.
  9. So if i wanted it to stop at 90 degrees i should set it to 84?
  10. I have done but it still sometimes goes over.
  11. Does anyone know of a program that will monitor your GPU temps and stop mining or shut down your pc if you go over a certain temp?
  12. Nope, just use Windows 7 USB DVD Download tool.
