Monitors turning off/losing signal while gaming
doinurmop replied to doinurmop's topic in Troubleshooting
Haven't tried with a different cable yet, but with furmark, I left it running (with my supervision ofc) for about 10 minutes with fur effects on and the background thing combined of course, on 1920x1080p 8X anti-aliasing. The max it reached was 76, but remained stable around 75. It started to go ABOVE 80 when using POST-FX, but even leaving it on that for a bit didn't cause it to crash at all. So by that, the issue hasn't been replicated -
Monitors turning off/losing signal while gaming

I'll try the fumark stresstest. And see if I got another hdmi cable ,and possibly DVI. or maybe disconnect my mother monitor to use work with the HDMI. Once I get the chance to try that all out, I'll tell ya. -
Monitors turning off/losing signal while gaming
doinurmop replied to doinurmop's topic in Troubleshooting
Yup. I don't think I have much more DVI or HDMI cables I can use to replace. I can look around though. In order to test/check them, what would you suggest I do, to be sure? Never really had to do so in terms of monitor cables. -
So this has been happening for about ,I'd say a few weeks now, and dear god is it a hard issue to replicate since it seems so fucking random. Basically when playing games, my monitors just, shut off and lose signal. And in order to use my pc again, I have to restart it. yet I can still hear the audio from my speakers usually fine. No buzzing noise coming from my pc or anything. So far this has happened on Unravel, L4D2, SIMS 3, and a few other games. But that makes me THINK. Since I've noticed a trend, when these crashes, seem to happen after my GPU has been on 76 Celcius for a while? As from the little log I'll include, as ive been constantly logging with OpenHardwareMonitor, it seems to plummet back down to a normal temp each time. But if it was that, why the fuck would it crash on games like SIMS 3 and L4D2? I can handle way more intensive games with literally no issue like that (again the crash is random, but still I'd expect it more often if that was the issue) I'm kind of out of ideas, I'll include the log and my specs down below. CPU: I5 4690 MOBO: ASUS H81M-E RAM 8GB CORSAIR VENGEANCE GPU: SAPPHIRE DUAL-X R9 270X OC HD: 1 TB WD BLUE HDD (X2) PSU: By memory CORSAIR CX600 If there's any more specific information needed, I'll do my best to provide. It is a rather old rig by now, had it many years, could just be giving out. What I've tired so far: stressing out the GPU all the way to over 80 celcius with furmark. Didnt replicate the error Reinstalling the AMD drivers. Did nothing. EDIT: It seems my suspicions were correct. it was my GPU, as it fried the other day. OpenHardwareMonitorLog-2017-08-23.csv

Hmm, I'm gonna keep the Siberia in mind. Not sure if I'll get it though, I wouldn't expect the audio and mic to be alot better.

I don't think I've ever bought anything from massdrop before. I think I might end up going with the Hyperx Cloud 2 possibly, they're about £50-£70

Absolute influx of HyperX suggestions, so I have a feeling they must be great. Looking at the Cloud II's right now, they seem pretty good.

So I'm getting money to prepare for XMAS, or to order my own things I guess. My headphones and mic broke a while ago, so I'm using a pair of speakers and a ps3 eye camera for a microphone currently (god). I've been consdiering buying the AKG Y50, since my brother suggests them, but I was wondering if anyone else had a suggestion to make. As said above, my budget is around £80.

That's another reason, I've been hesitant to download from adobe, incase they download some adware shit without me knowing. Cheers
-
Mind linking me to the official download? Ever since I idiotically went on to a fake adobe site, I've been a bit hesitant to get anything adobe

I thought they made ARDC pay to use now?

So I'm trying to find a good pdf reader that does not look like it's riddled with adware, and includes a bookmark/comment system. I don't remember the program I used before my reformat, so that's why I'm here cheers

Unless you've already completely decided, I use the rival 100 for csgo, and I find it to be great, at its low price, I don't notice any jitter, or anything that would make it a crap sensor. it's rgb changing to situations in game, is a retarded gimmick, but if you're into that too, there's that.
-
I'm using a cheap perixx extended mousepad with my Steelseries rival 100. I don't see any noticable jitter, it glides nice, sensor works fine on csgo at my low dpi. They're no Razer/steelseries etc. stamp of quality, but they do the job fine when it comes to mousepads imo. Here are a few of their cheap mousepads

CM Quickfire TK. Cherry MX Blues Numpad but, squished in to the arrow keys/numpad toggle. personally I'm finding the blues great for in game use imo.
