  1. I'm interested in this for a wireless solution for using headphones on VoIP's, so I'm wondering how the quality/background noise is for things such as discord.
  2. I might try them instead. I've decided on not wasting my money on a DAC. They can be pushed to ear bleeding volume already. Yes and yes. Yes. I think so, the sound of my own voice is pretty muted. That's one week too many.
  3. So I'm currently looking for an amp/dac(adc?) preferably with a mic input, to drive my new Sennheiser game zero's because they sound pretty muddy/just worse than my old headset (steelseries sibera v2) with my Z170-A's on board sound (crystal sound 3) and I'm wondering if this Creative Sound Blaster X-Fi HD would be any good? Or am I better off getting a FiiO - E10K and just use an extension cable to plug the mic into my PC's onboard sound? I don't know much about audio, to be honest, but what I do know is I prefer my 13€ sony earbuds to this headset so I'd like to at least try an amp/dac before I return them to amazon.
  4. Well I've been using a TN for the past 5 years, I don't know what good colours are
  5. I'm not really into the idea of ultra wides and don't think I'd like one that small. Also, I want one of the monitors to be 144hz 1ms response time.
  6. So has anyone here tried this or has any suggestions as to what 1080p monitors would go best together in a triple monitor setup? Like should I get either TN with 2 ISP on the sides or all TN, so the displays are more comparable? Ideally, it would be nice if companies made monitors that had the exact same bezel size/display colour accuracy, but only 60hz and without features such as "3D" which everyone clearly uses... Though I realize this might lose them some money with enthusiasts who will just buy three 144hz monitors so they're the exact same. My main concern is of course cost. I am aiming for the main monitor to be around 250£ and side monitors <125£. UK sites of course.
  7. I know this could fix the chrome issue but I guess I don't want to do it because I shouldn't have to. I've never had this problem before. Though I don't really know the disadvantages of disabling hardware acceleration. I'm guessing things would just be a bit slower? I'm just interested to see if anyone had anything similar to this with the flash of a black screen or the inverted black and knows a solution or if it's a problem with my GPU itself and I should claim on the warranty. Not ever being able to update my drivers would be terrible. And seeing how they have updated the drivers and it's still a problem I don't think it's a problem other 960 users are experiencing.
  8. So these problems began about 2 weeks ago when I updated my GPU driver, bios and chipset driver. I update my GPU all the time but it so happened that I updated it the same day I decided to update drivers from my motherboards website. Anyway what happened was this Original http://imgur.com/APG556I?r As you can see from the original it kinda inverts a lot of the colours to black for some odd reason. This happened with youtube videos as well but seemed to mostly affect the beginning of them or certain parts. Once a gif looped fully in this colour it would come back to normal in the following loops until I cleared cache. The other weird issue that arose was whenever I opened a gif with windows 10 photo viewer it would crash after 1 second and zooming in and out of images twice would also crash it. Though weirdly enough I had no real issues in games like Overwatch/League Of legends. Anyway I decided to rollback the Nvidia driver to the to an older one and that fixed all my problems (or so I thought) *Please note these issue seemed to only affect chrome/windows photos and not firefox/Vivaldi* After rolling back the driver everything was fine for about a day until I got a random black flash and every youtube video in chrome went green. I had to reload each video to play them. So since then I tried updating to a slightly newer Nvidia driver that had just come out and it gave me the first problems all over again. So I've since reverted to an even older driver to see if that would fix either of the problems and I still have the black flash and video crash one. At this point I feel like reinstalling windows but really can't be bothered do that. It could be an issue with the GPU itself or maybe the chipset driver I installed but it's extremely hard for me to tell what the problem is. Anyway thanks for taking the time to read this.
  9. So I waited months just for the new "nexus" to come out, instead we got a new line called Pixel. That said I can't justify the price. It costs way too much for what you get (lack of water resistance and an SD card..) As for the Galaxy S7, I dislike TouchWiz, the backwards buttons and the physical home button. I personally could get an s7 brand new with a warranty for 480€ but I won't because the only thing that makes me want it is the camera tbh. So for me, it came down to the HTC 10 or the OnePlus 3. Some advantages of the HTC 10 are better speakers and selfie camera which personally I don't have much need/use for. So if they're something you care about, go for the HTC 10. Finally the OnePlus 3. The advantages of the OnePlus 3 are a stock android like experience, Cost, almost the fastest android phone there is, the fastest fingerprint sensor & charging and a good camera for the price and my needs. The only real disadvantage for me is the size (I'm coming from a 4inch display and have medium sized hands so it will be hard to get used to) So it really depends on what you want out of a phone. Maybe you really want a good camera, then just go with the S7 despite its flaws at least it's waterproof and a lot cheaper than it was at launch. And who knows maybe you like all the things the HTC 10 have to offer. I don't dislike anything about it, if it was cheaper I'd go for it over the OnePlus 3 just because of my concerns about size. So for me, I'm going with the OnePlus 3. Hope this can help somewhat.
  10. I recently bought 2 NB eloop B12-PS fans for an AIO water cooler, but they make an annoying tonal noise even in push. So I'm wondering how the M12-PS fans would be for an h105? I was thinking of gentle typhoons but some people complain about resonance and even a bearing noise and I would wanna sleeve them which I think might be hard to find material for in Ireland. So I feel like the M12's would be a safer bet. Edit: I also see allot about Noctua fans being the best PWM controlled fans for low rpm's, are the M12's not as good PWM wise?
  11. On amazon.com the 950 pro is cheaper, faster and allot better performance per dollar than the hyper X predator. http://www.amazon.com/Samsung-950-256GB-PCIe-NVMe/dp/B01639696U/ref=sr_1_2?s=pc&ie=UTF8&qid=1452027160&sr=1-2&keywords=950+pro http://www.amazon.com/Kingston-HyperX-Predator-SHPM2280P2-240G/dp/B00V01C376 If you want cheap fast storage just get an 850 evo.
  12. So I got these fans because I really like the look of them, there supposed to be really quiet and they also have great performance. Unfortunately while I was testing different speed levels in Asus fan Xpert 3 I found they out have a really weird tonal noise at about 3-4 different speeds. I'm not really sure if this is because there PWM or what, I used the CPU fan header to test this and have tried other ones. The header is set to PWM, but I also tried it in voltage to see if that could fix the problem though I had no such luck. Here is a sound test of the B14-PS on my rubber mouse pad. It's at 850 RPM for most of it but I higher it to 900 at the very end. It does this at lower speeds, but I don't have a mic good enough to pick it up well. You know now that I listen to it in the recording it doesn't seem as bad in the recording. I think the problem is when it's changing speeds it makes the sound go up and down so it's very annoying. If it would stay at a constant tonal noise I think it would be a bit better atleast. As for the B12-PS fans, I can't be bothered remount them to make a recording as atm I'm using the stock h105 fans. They make pretty much the same tonal noise that goes up and down in frequency. I tried them in this config close to the fan filter of my define r5, then in this config about an inch and half away from the fan filter. It didn't really make a difference. I'm not sure if this has anything to do with the fans being PWM or what, because in the silent PC review here. They stated that the PWM fans performed allot worse, I'm not sure if they were just faulty or what because someone also complains about the voltage ones here. Anyway, I would really like to use these fans especially as an exhaust considering that's the one I see through the side panel window. So if anyone has experience with any B14's or even lot's of different B12's please help meh.... Edit: The sound of the b14-PS changing speed between 800-850.
  13. So I just tested out a custom resolution with 75hz and when I booted up, the game switched my profile back to the one that has 120hz.... I don't even know.... Also, the config file seems to stay at 60 when it's running my monitor at 120hz. @AlwaysFSX @huilun02
  14. Fixed. The album wouldn't work for some reason. Edit: From what I've seen you have to run it as admin. http://www.swtor.com/community/showthread.php?t=182180
  15. Here http://i.imgur.com/DzICIi4.png http://i.imgur.com/ynAYLfD.png http://i.imgur.com/GbJpH6J.png http://i.imgur.com/4BBHErC.png When I close the game they revert back to 60hz, when I tab in and out in fullscreen in changes back and forth from 120hz to 60.
