It's enough for 720p (as long as you're the only one using it) but it's hit or miss for 1080p.

I used to have a 7 megabit DSL connection and I had no problem streaming 1080P YouTube videos.

This should give you a rough idea, the extra buffering is resulting in higher speeds.

If you look at the network activity you will see that it's 1000KB (-+) 600KB or 8 Mb (+-) 0.6Mb. What I would conclude from this is you would need roughly around 6-7Mbps depending on the bitrate of the video

Ps Not really sure what connection speed is referring to here, so ignore that and keep in mind the 189s+ buffering which is increasing the final result speed shown.

I don't see what they would do considering no two videos are going to have the same bitrate. I also have a 70 megabit connection now and normally YouTube only uses maybe 5-10 megabits.

YouTube will prefetch content to compensate for irregularities in bandwidth essentially acting as cache. I know YouTube (480p) uses 1.5 Mbps, so generally speaking 720p will surely be more playable at 3 Mbps.

When I get home I'll test it out for you. I'll throttle my PC to 3 Mbps from the AP and let you know how it handles.

Yeah looks fine. Should be more than enough.

For future reference, one is enough for standard use, and two or three is good if you're experiencing problems and want to be positive.

If you aren't already, you should use the Passmark version.  The free one works fine.

Extending an arm to interact with a monitor is not comfortable. I'm also not arm's length distance from my monitor, so I would constantly lean forward.

djdelarosa25 reacted to LAwLz in How long should I run MemTest?
In most cases memtest will start spitting out errors within a minute if the RAM stick is bad. If you ask me, I'd say after 1 minute without errors you can be 50% sure that the RAM is good. After 5 minutes it's 70%. After one pass it's 90%. After 3 passes it's 99.9%, and so on.

Here is something to keep in mind though. Memtest will only prove that your RAM has issues, but it will not prove that it does not have issues (even after 10 hours of tests). Even if you run the test 100 times you can not be sure that it would not spit out an error after the 101th run.

Since I am currently waiting on a new RAM kit since my last one had a dead stick in it, I plan on running memtest on the new kit of RAM. I will be running it overnight, so that will be about 8 hours.
If you want to be as sure as practically possible, I'd say let it run overnight. If you don't get any errors after 8 hours of intense searching for errors, then it's pretty safe to say they are fine.

longer the better, how much ram does it have?
on 32GB I didn't get errors on a broken kit of ram after 8 hours.

I would test only the one you bought secondhand.
You know that the one you use right now works, right? Running the test with both would just complicate things if it finds something.

Just pick one, they are all the same, I'd go with the canon because it makes it easier to collect lenses and upgrade in the future, but the real world differences are minimal.

Shouldn't be a problem. I've always mixed RAM and never had an issue. Might be a problem if you want to overclock.
