    This is the 1st time you gonna have a taste that what does it feel like not being the best.

    It will make you uncomfortable. That feeling is nothing to be ashamed of.

    I think that that the most important lesson is to know that a lot of  people might be as talented as you. But they might have been through similar things, ( transfer between schools, other things happened in life that caused them distracted or unable to catchup) therefore from now on you can respect those people more. before all these you might think that whoever is not better than me is because they are not hardworking enough. Not talented enough. But now you realized that your accomplishments contains some sort of luck in it. Just like everybody else's.

    also so beware of your friends. Whoever talk shit to you just because you got left behind a little, they are not worth your time. Ditch them.

    Windows Defender is not bad at all and it's actually better than other third party AVs [check here] but it's not as good as the others especially in blocking ransomware like other security programs [here and here] and it doesn't have good sandboxing when scanning [here].

    Tbh, I'm not particularly fan of free third party AVs especially when I was in college back in 2010.

    Windows Defender is okay at protection, but at the same time it's probably the least invasive AV. However, I'm beginning to believe AV software really isn't useful in a day where exploiting security holes and social engineering are the common tactics. Especially coupled with cautious internet browsing. I can't remember the last time I actually got a virus.

    Personally, I'd suggest getting a laser printer before an inkjet. If you need an inkjet, I'd go with the Epson.

    I've found them the easiest to fix internally and, while only a few cases, found CS to be very capable in terms of sending in a printer or asking for parts.

    You may want to add this one for ransomware protection. It works even with other AVs.

    Everyone fails, a lot, the difference between successful people and unsuccessful people is not letting a failure stop you from moving forward.

    I cant emphasise enough how trivial school life seems when you're an adult and looking back at it, every single bully, personal embarrassment or failure you suffered as a teen will seem like a distant/foggy memory.  It feels world ending when bad stuff happens in school but i can tell you that 10 years from now you'll barely remember the names of most of the people you know now.

    Failure isn't a bad thing. I failed miserably at my first attempt as a business owner. But I learned from my mistakes. My second attempt has worked flawlessly for the most part....for nearly 15 years.

    When my employees fail, I ask them what caused the failure. Of they can answer it, they learned from the mistake.

    Everyone in the thread so far has given great, honest advice about dealing with failure but you haven't failed yet. Your semester is just beginning and you are only two weeks behind. Take some weekends / evenings to study and you will be caught up in no time. If you have an attitude like you are going to fail then you will. If you tell yourself you can succeed and put in the time then you will succeed.

    Long story short, I went to a school far away from home and the people were terrible. Bullies everywhere, no one took school seriously, etc. I ended up going back to my former school where my classmates were always competitive and disciplined. However, I've already missed about two weeks of their schoolwork (they started earlier) and I, being a consistent honor student in my previous years, will have to catch up and it's almost a guarantee that I will get low grades this semester. How do I cope up with failure as I am not used to doing so?

    doesn't matter as long the channel isn't the same.
    but having said that

    Wireless N 300Mbps only works with 40Mhz, but if you have devices that doesn't support it, then it might not be able to connect.

    In general,

    If 2.4Ghz -> 20Mhz
    If 5Ghz -> 40Mhz

    If you're fairly wirelessly isolated and you have modern devices, go for 40Mhz.

    Not really. It's mostly more of a hassle if you lose the micro sd card. That said, a micro SD has more utility than a standard SD card.

    I guess I might go with the microSD cards as they are cheaper and if they need to fit on a phone that supports it, they're ready for it.

    The only features you lose is the ability to lock your card

    MicroSD with adapter somehow can't do it.

    Sorry for the major delay, I finally found time to test this without disturbing too many people. Please note that my results aren't entirely scientific, and will likely vary especially in your usage. I'll explain why.

    My findings were that 1080p 30fps video would play on a 3 Mbps connection in my scenario, though it barely hung on. I loaded a ~16 minute 1080p video over wireless, throttled to 3 Mbps at the router (not AP). The buffer-health stayed between 1 second and 2 seconds, so not much buffer room. Any small blip would likely cause buffering. Furthermore, the video took a few seconds to actually play. It's not quick, but when started it'll play. I'd allow it a bit of time by itself to buffer-ahead and compensate for any anomalies with the Internet connection itself. That being said, the two main factors it does come down to are:
    Dedicated Internet: You have to be the only device actively using the Internet, I'm sure if another device was doing even Web-Browsing it wouldn't work very well. Buffer: Give it time to load and compensate for any anomalies, otherwise do expect it to randomly buffer. Now, the part that gets confusing. My guess is that it'd not work given your circumstances. If you're throttled to 3 Mbps, you'll have blufferbloat. Blufferboat is essentially your router sending too much data, and it getting "backed up". In my scenario, I couldn't mimic that because I was on a 250 Mbps connection, and throttling the router manually still left overhead. Speedtests peaked on the router at 2.96. If your ISP does any oversubscription, you do have a shot of video playing. For example, Comcast gives subscribers a 20% oversubscription to compensate for buffer and anomalies. That being said, when I throttled my connection to 3.6 Mbps 1080p video played much more fluent giving me an extra 3-5 seconds of buffer. This may work...
