Do different editions of Windows (Home Premium, Professional, Ultimate) consume storage space differently?
-
Also, I was wondering if different editions of Windows consume storage differently. I was thinking on installing Professional but seeing as the HDD is only a measly 175GB or so, should I go Home Premium instead? I'm gonna be missing the Group Policy feature, though.

So, should I go 64-bit? Would that impact performance to a noticeable point?

Hi there!
I upgraded my dad's shitty PC to Windows 10, and he didn't like it. So now, I'm going to reinstall Windows 7 from scratch, but I am unsure whether or not to download the 32-bit or 64-bit ISOs.
This PC has a Core 2 Duo E7400, Nvidia 9400GT, and 2GB of DDR2 RAM. He doesn't want to upgrade it since he only uses Chrome and Office and Paint, and upgrading would simply be a waste of money for him. But maybe in the future I can convince him to upgrade the RAM to at least 4GB.
So, is there a SIGNIFICANT difference in performance between 32-bit and 64-bit Windows 7 on 2GB of RAM?
Thanks a lot to those who will help!

That's gonna be impossible. My parents are super-strict. They're just gonna buy one for me and that's it. They're only gonna bother spending money the 2nd time getting it fixed if I break it. They're that frugal.
Anyways, I'm gonna use the laptop on uni. I'm gonna do some gaming like CS:GO and light video-editing with Premiere. Which would be the better buy?

I'm gonna do some light video editing on Premiere. Is Premiere CPU or GPU intensive?

Laptop A:
Something from the Acer Aspire E5 14-inch lineup
Intel Core i5-5200U
NVIDIA GeForce 940M
4GB RAM
500GB HDD
Laptop B:
Baseline ASUS ZenBook UX305FA
Intel Core M-5Y10
Intel HD 5300 Graphics
4GB RAM
128GB SSD

So, let's say I'm shopping for a laptop.
One has a
Core i5-5200U, GT940M, 500GB HDD, and 4GB of RAM
while the other has a
Core M-5Y10, HD 5300, 128GB SSD, and 4GB of RAM
Which would be snappier overall?

get this laptop with 4GB of ram if you need it and a SD card is cheap about 20-30$ https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7f5TOp4lmzE
Chromebook? Uhhhh, no.
-
Well, there's this second-hand Yoga 2 with 8GB of RAM, but it has dedicated graphics. Is this better than the one above?
-
We'll be doing some video editing via Premiere. Would an i5-5200U, 940M 2GB, and 4GB of RAM be enough?

I'm a pretty small guy. I'm about a 5'3-5'4, skinny, 14-year old. Anyways, I'd almost always be carrying it everyday in my bag to school. What's the perfect size?
Also, can you guys recommend me a $500-$700 laptop that'll be reliable for the next few years?
-
Title says it all.
-
- No 2-in-1's
- 12-13 inch screens
- Intel CPU
- (optional) touchscreen
- (optional) 8GB of RAM
-
Well, I'll just make it easier then. What's the absolute best laptop (performance-wise) within the $600-$700 range?
(Ummm, no Chromebooks or 2-in-1's. Lol)

Hi! I'm a student and I'd want a laptop that fits my needs. We do some video editing in our class, and also I'd prefer to run games such as CS:GO on medium settings on the native reso.
I'd like it to have an Intel CPU, have a dedicated GPU, an optical drive, and also have at least 4GB of RAM (but PREFERABLY 8GB).
Thanks!

So, do you suggest 32-bit or 64-bit Windows 7 on 2GB of RAM?
