  1. I'm looking for the best price-to-performance ratio as possible. PRICE-TO-PERFORMANCE I wanna play CS:GO at 800x600 at all low. My C2D E7400 gives me decent 70-100+ fps (sometimes even 200) but stutters a lot in smoke and when there are a lot of bots (in firefights, etc.) What CPU would stabilize my fps well within the 75fps range? Intel Xeon X3210 ($21 USD) https://www.olx.ph/item/intel-xeon-quad-core-2-13-lga775-with-hsf-ID76c25.html?p=7&h=9f9fd32e33#9f9fd32e33 Intel Xeon X3220 ($42 USD) https://www.olx.ph/item/intel-processor-xeon-2-40ghz-lga-ID6Z72w.html?p=12&h=9f9fd32e33#9f9fd32e33 Intel Core 2 Quad Q8400 ($38 USD) https://www.olx.ph/item/intel-core2-quad-processor-q8400-4m-cache-2-66-ghz-1333-mhz-fsb-ID768xp.html?p=9&h=967f885fed#967f885fed
  2. From what I've researched, the only difference between the two is clock speed.
  3. Intel Xeon X3210 (20 USD) https://www.olx.ph/item/intel-xeon-quad-core-2-13-lga775-with-hsf-ID76c25.html?p=6&h=89398478d1#89398478d1 Intel Xeon X3220 (40 SUD) https://www.olx.ph/item/intel-processor-xeon-2-40ghz-lga-ID6Z72w.html?p=12&h=9f9fd32e33#9f9fd32e33
  4. Thanks. Would I see a noticeable fps improvement? Would the fps still stutter?
  5. Would that be a good improvement in my fps? Should I upgrade the RAM?
  6. Intel Core 2 Duo E7400 NVIDIA GeForce 9400GT 3 GB DDR2 RAM ASUS P5KPL-AM EPU I wanna play CS:GO at 800x600 at all low. I get about 100fps with bots but it's unstable (drops to 30 when in smoke or when there are a lot of bots) I found a Xeon X3210 (https://www.olx.ph/item/intel-xeon-quad-core-2-13-lga775-with-hsf-ID76c25.html?p=6&h=89398478d1#89398478d1) for about 20 bucks. But it looks super sketchy. Here's a Xeon X3220 (https://www.olx.ph/item/intel-processor-xeon-2-40ghz-lga-ID6Z72w.html?p=11&h=89398478d1#89398478d1). Looks a lot nicer and more legit for double the price. From what I researched, the X3210 and X3220 are virtually the same performance, the X3220 is just clocked higher. I heard that CS:GO is a pretty CPU-intensive title. Should I get the sketchy X3210, or pay double and play it safe and get the X3220, or should I just upgrade my RAM to 4GB?
  7. What would offer better performance? Two 1 GB Kingston DDR2-667 PC2-5300 running in dual-channel mode, or One 2 GB Kingston DDR2-800 PC2-6400 and one 1 GB Kingston DDR2-667 PC2-5300 mixed RAM?
  8. Yes, but at Afterburner, the OC is rock solid. In Precision, I am able to squeeze a bit more, 750 core, 1909 shader, and 520 mem. I was wondering why Afterburner has a small threshold limit set?
  9. 9400GT with latest 341.92 drivers. Afterburner is 4.2.0 (latest), Precision is 2.1.2 (I simply cannot understand Precision X)
  10. Unfortunately, I can't I'm still in high school, and my parents are frugal af "If it ain't broke, don't fix it" Anyways, even if it gets broken, they'll still reuse the working parts
  11. RAM stick 1: (single) Kingston 2GB DDR2-800 PC2-6400 RAM stick 2: Kingston 1GB DDR2-667 PC2-5300 I have tested both running together, yes it works. I was wondering if what setup would offer me better performance?
  12. One stick is a 2 GB Kingston DDR2-800 PC2-6400. I purchased another stick of DDR2 of the same brand, but different speed (PC2-5300 DDR2-667) and capacity (1GB) Which would yield better performance, sticking with the 2 GB one, or adding the other one? I can confirm that the system boots up with the other stick added. Also, 32-bit or 64-bit OS for this?
  13. I feel like 7 is the easiest to use. Maybe because it's the OS I've been using for years now. Never quite liked 8.1 nor 10. Both feel bloated IMO with useless touch features if you're on a PC.
  14. I can set the multiplier to the max only (10.5) instead of Auto, if I want to waste power (lol). Then I can manually change the FSB speed. Should I disable SpeedStep and C4E?
  15. Well, I've been OC'ing it for a while now without any changes in voltage. From 2.8 to 3.36 GHz. Should I disable SpeedStep and C4E?
  16. CPU is an Intel Core 2 Duo E7400. MoBo is a very limited ASUS P5KPL-AM EPU that only lets me disable Intel SpeedStep, C4E, and other Power Saving features. It does let me change the multiplier, the FSB speed, the RAM speed, but it won't let me change voltages, etc. I was thinking, should I still overclock the CPU or would I just hurt the performance by not setting a stable one?
  17. Yup. Random times the Disk Activity and RAM usage just spike up even with only one Chrome tab running.
