Question: What resolution do you plan to play at 1080p?

Charcoal_ got a reaction from Astonuats in For People Wanting to Start Building There Own Computer
I did this. My families old pc aboout a year after replacing it and a few months before getting my personal beast in comparison I took it apart. I put it back together too, it didn't work, but it was fun and i could tell how easy it was to build a system. A fun little project for a hour or two.

Storage not memory. Don't get the two confused...

Charcoal_ reacted to KaizTheMonster in I'm new to PC Building
I know some people who knows how to build PCs
And Yes I do watch Linus and Austin Evan as well as TechSource.
Well I dont game and render videos at the same time much. Ill transfer the video render to my laptop so it will render on it. It takes more time but its ok

Charcoal_ got a reaction from rossp1121 in Fans in Phanteks Evolv ATX
Always try to have more intake fans than exhaust. Also put intakes where there are fan filter.

Charcoal_ got a reaction from Randomsteve in Build check before I pull the trigger
There's no real need for a fan controller you can just customise it with the bios. I'd add a 1TB HDD too, 500GB is a little too small imo (I have 1.25TB total storage so far I've filled 750GB ish with my stuff but I do occasionally purge it of uselesss stuff) I don't have a suggesting for another though. And like Jacko said 6600k is good enough to game and not bottleneck while still using resources..

Charcoal_ got a reaction from YedZed in What's the best ethernet alternative for me?
Well the cables in. We had to use some random pipe we found under the floorboards and a tent-peg we taped to it to drag the cable across. For the last bit we had to shove an arm into the floor and blindly flail the cable at a hole...
