  1. I got them for a steal and this build is a gift for a friend of mine, whom basically only plays TF2, so that is the basis and performance I need. Not much haha. It should eat Team Fortress for breakfast.
  2. Hey everyone, been about 7 years away from the forums, I'm 22 now, and glad to be back in the LTT community. I am starting to source parts for a very custom rig, and have ordered two GTX 580 Hydro Copper 2 cards to run in SLI on this system. I have some experience with liquid cooling, and I'm looking for suggestions on glass piping, compression seals, radiators, pumps, etc. I understand this will be quite a project but I am excited to document the building process and hopefully remember to share it here with you all. Thus far, I have 8GB (2x4) DDR3 1866 RAM (beautiful VIPER sticks that are very difficult to find), an i5 4690K CPU, and the 2 GPU's. Any and all info on finding the proper parts is appreciated! Cheers.
  3. Wow.. been about 7 years. Glad to be back in the community. #LTTFam

  4. I'm the only one with size 13 feet so far! ;D Haha
  5. Arcade Style Building! :D

  6. I'll be sure to do a build log! The Lego case does sound like in interesting thought. I considered making it entirely of black pieces, with a clear side panel and a Binding of Isaac Logo/Emblem on the side.
  7. Hello everyone! So I've been thinking a lot about an efficient, inexpensive build solely to play indie games on. Namely Binding of Isaac, as it is my favorite game at the time being. I considered building an arcade style rig, similar to what you might find at a Scandia while playing Galaga or Pac-Man. The idea here is not to be able to play high/mid tier graphics demanding games. No Team Fortress 2, Minecraft, COD, Mass Effect, GTA, any of that. This build is simply to play indie games on, essentially minimal computing power. My only concern with the arcade style build is not being able to set the resolution low enough to accommodate the arcade's pixel density. Of course this could be easily modified with a larger monitor inside the arcade machine, given it was the correct size and weight. Of course we could do this the easier way, which is also an option. What if I instead created a very small desktop like build. Perhaps closer to a Raspberry Pi in the long run. Just a small, portable, indie game box. Capable of playing all of our favorites. Super Meat Boy, Isaac, Braid, Fez, etc. Does anyone have any ideas on parts or how well this would work? There are no wrong ideas! Spit out anything you got. Thanks in advance!
  8. Hey everyone. So I'm looking to buy a rather cheap laptop mainly for school work and some light art/music programs. I don't need anything like a gaming laptop. But I would still like for it to have a good 4-8GB of RAM. 2-3GHZ Processor, etc. Mediocre specs blah blah blah. I am most interested in the display res and size than actual tech specs. A 20" laptop would be supreme. I am open to ANY suggestions so give me what you got! Also I much prefer Windows 7 than 8. Thanks in advance!
  9. This one is. I'll probably end up just getting this one. Originally I was looking for the same keyboard but with the brushed aluminum backplate. Next to a mac that one looks a bit nicer.
  10. Buying myself a fancy keyboard! :D

  11. Hello everyone. So I finally decided to buy a new keyboard for myself (it was my birthday a couple days ago). I shopped around awhile before finding the Corsair Vengeance K70 with the Cherry MX Blue switches. The aluminum back plate and LED lighting got my attention quickly. Along with the look and tactile feel of the keyboard, I felt like this was the one. Blue switches are my favorite type alongside Buckling Spring keyboards (duh.. they're godly). So I figured this would be a good pick for me as a gamer, and a typist. Only problem being that I can't seem to find it in stock anywhere, checking Newegg, NCIX, Amazon, and anywhere else I could think of. They all are sold out. So my question is; does anyone have any idea where I can buy a new one of these beasties? Keep in mind I only want the Blue switches, but am open to other suggestions such as cooler master or razer keyboards. Thanks in advance! -Buffalo
  12. Hey everyone! I wanna see the best gaming rig you can build for $500 dollars or less! I prefer you use newegg for the parts list but whatever works for you! Most importantly, have fun with this! It's not a competition! Hope to see your responses soon!
