    On a 1030, even the GDDR5 version, most of the gains from overclocking will come from the memory. I have a laptop with a MX150 (basically a mobile 1030) and I managed to get the memory from 6000Mhz effective, up to 8000Mhz. That was still only about 5 fps at most, but it's what you can expect.

    It is not ideal, but you should be fine. Maybe it's 2 or 3 degrees hotter this way as opposed to the upper slot. Just make sure the front intake fan is also lower so it feeds the card with air.

    Try a 750ti or 1050ti, your CPU isn't very power hungry so those card should work well.

    The GA104. Gamers don't even get their second biggest chip in the x80 card, and they can save the GA102 for the x80ti. That's how far ahead of AMD they are that they can sell mid range chips at high end prices.

    Give it another year, especially with the GPU market as it is and if you're only playing at 1080p. Besides, you'd probably see decent gains just by upgrading the CPU first.

    That's exactly how GPU Boost works, not all cards get over 2000Mhz. Try playing with the voltage a bit, maybe undervolting helps you mantain higher clocks.

    You should undervolt, it will actually mantain those higher clocks and get less hot.

    Hm, then go for the 30cm one, you can always add one later with the same cable. Just don't give up the magnetic part, that makes them last potentially for decades of re use.

    ReLive works pretty good for streaming and recording, Shadowplay isn't a deviding factor anymore imo

    Single 1070, two 580 have many issues and astronomical powerdraw compared to the performance they offer. Though if you can afford two 580 you might afford a 1080 since they're now starting at 500 dollars.

    In that case that New 2DS XL might be good, barely any games use 3D and it destroys battery life I've heard.

    That looks like a pretty nice CPU bottleneck. Try to monitor CPU usage and see if it reaches 100%. Otherwise you need to rise the GPU's power limit.

    The 1060 is good upgrade, but not the 3Gig model. Look at the 4 gig Rx 480 or save up to a 6 gig 1060.

    The 580 is probably just an overclocked 480, so there won't be much difference. If you wait you might get it for the price the 480 now has, or get a 480 for cheaper.

    Then 1070 or 1080. You can also wait for Vega and see what that offers and if Nvidias stupid prices come down.
