I currently am loving the Sennheiser Game Zeros, they are wired, but they sound great and my ears don't get too hot while I'm wearing them. I would not reccomend getting Turtle Beach, they typically have muddy bass and based off a friend who got them, they have pretty terrible build quality.

Yes, an extension would work. However I would recommend against it, maybe get a good powerline kit. I tried with an extension and even though I have 180 mbps, I got 0.5 mbps.
