I'm cracking up thinking about myself wearing slippers but I'll see if I can find any at a local store and give it a shot!
-
Thick socks at all times and a lot of the time I have a pair of shoes on, sometimes I choose to cross my legs and take them off, but even still it's pretty uncomfortable.
-
I have vinyl flooring that's really cold, paired with already extremely cold feet, a normal rug isn't making any difference in trying to keep my feet warm at my computer. Anyone have any neat solutions? Was thinking about getting a giant plush heating pad and using that. Thanks!
-
I was gonna go for the 8700k originally but was told to go Ryzen for what I was planning. Budget isn't really that big of a deal as long as I'm not doing crazy stuff like 1,300$ 2080ti's and whatnot. All coming out of my own wallet so I can save as long as I need to.
-
I don't think I'll be doing enough to need threadripper. Just single 5k res photo editing at a time and light streaming single player games for friends and stuff.
-
I've heard over and over Ryzen is better for stuff like that, then you say that and I get confused. I used a little bit older version of Lightroom/photoshop because I really don't like LR CC.

This is EVERYTHING I want to upgrade with my setup minus peripherals because I already have what I like. Is there anything you would change? Going for black/red aesthetic so preferred that but not totally essential. i7 8700k or Ryzen 7 2700x for streaming/editing.

Essentially. I can make the upgrade later down the road but I'm confined to a Macbook because my previous computer went dead. -

Would you think there'd be a substantial difference in performance to rake out the extra $200+ for a 2080 over the 2070? Or enough to really rationalize it? I definitely want to future proof this build cause it'll be the last one I can do for a few years. -
I am certainly not, but it has a 30 day return policy so if it comes in dead I can just send it back.
-
Oh I need to get rid of my tag, that computer fried itself half a year ago, lol. Updating to a RTX 2070 within a month. But I want it because I'm a photographer and the extra real estate while editing would come very much in handy. Also for gaming and stuff but that's my main reason. Plus I'm over dual monitors and like the look of a clean mounted single ultrawide.

I switched mine up to have a Ryzen 7 2700x and kept the 2070. Wanting to stream for friends and stuff so the extra CPU power will be nice.
