  1. You heard about the WiFi GPU aswell ? Not sure if I can get my hands on it... And I need to find out what I can do against lag or bad ping. Playing with 999ms is easy but how do I play when it takes minutes.... Forshadowing ? maybe
  2. So I'm building a new Pc, already started a topic about it but I want to go in deatail. I found the Alphacool Eisbär to be realy good aio cooling and aim for the 360mm version. Watching some videos, a lot of reviews and talking about with other still didn't give me a true answer if I should change my mind. I hope some ppl dealt with this cooler already and or can provide an aio which is definetly taking care of my need for an quiet, sturdy, good to very good cooling system. The stock fans will be replaced with Silent Wings 3 pwm/ corsair sp pwm or maybe another quiet fan in the low rpm
  3. @wzrd Maybe someone will come up with more or other arguments but I'm pretty convinced that I can go the path we both think is the best. Yea the Asrock motherboards just have some things to it that realy help out like some software that is provided. I check if there is an z270 chipset alternative because the only processor I got is the I7 3770k which has the old and gone 1155 socket. Don't think I know someone to borrow a 4xxx or 6xxx from... Didn't knew there is no other way. Maybe I find one. The GPU only has to be truely silent when Idle or on low usage which basicaly every 2/3 fan 2/3 slot GPU is not forgetting that the fans don't even spin on low usage. I use a 2.1 sound system and even my indeed loud 970 G1 Gaming is not realy to hear when gaming so I guess buying the cheaper but more powerfull card is the way I go with.
  4. @wzrd thanks, very helpfull. I already thought in those directions ins some way but having an approval helps a lot. That's why I choose the Alphacool Eisbär. you can expand it with GPU, RAM and motherboard cooling from the company. It's just that its cheaper than EK and also comes from germany so I know what I'm buying and I could contact the company directly here if there are any issues. Bequiet! Silent Wings 3 it is and my case flow will be done by Corsair PWM then I'd say. I look forward to get my hands on a fairly cheap EVGA ICX then although I'm not quiet sure how the noise and thermals realy compare taking in account that Gigabytes version has a much thicker heatsink?
  5. I'm a dummy, thank you for showing me that you can put a quote in between duhh. Fully agreed even if I prefer Intel ^^
  6. 8350, I just informed myself enougth. Wasn't truely familiar with AMD so far. Even though some games get it to the 80-90s there is indeed still some headroom. And the CPU is not far if any behind an I5/I7 3k Taking the 750 against even a 970 is realy a downgrade though, yes, agreed. 480/1060 and surely bigger if there is money would be an impact (Why does someone have to get the argument out of you ? )
  7. Yea and this sped up over the last years(s) as we seem to go BIG with resolution and get the need to have more power for processing VirtualReality and all the improving graphic engines. Are we just stating facts or do you want to give an oppinion ? (looked at your profile, read "Don't confuse...." and realised you did not realy show knowledge yet )
  8. I got an i7 3770k, bought it 2013 I guess and I can still do another 3 years without realy running out of power, yes it is
  9. I'm with BGIBBZ CPUs aren'T going to change a lot especially on Intels side atm. But if you choose AMD then you are going for a new platform with lot's of improvements to come R5 if you want to save money. The R7 isn't competative with I7 yet although a 1700 does come close to an 7700K after the new BIOS updates and bug fixing is on the way now if you're thinking of the 300-400 $ class. (you have to buy a motherboard, ram and possibly even new cooling though...) Your GPU can still achieve something and there WILL DEFINETELY be a lot of changes till next year
  10. So I used the website I told you about and there is no 4k monitor beneath 330pounds... If you don't care about how much power it draws and you wish to have Freesync (makes sense with a fury) then this is your selection: https://skinflint.co.uk/?cat=monlcd19wide&bpmax=200-320&v=e&hloc=uk&filter=update&xf=1455_27~5137_1920x1080~5137_1920x1200~5137_2560x1080~5137_2560x1440~5137_2560x1600~5137_3440x1440~5137_3840x1600~5137_3840x2160~5848_AMD+FreeSync+(Adaptive+Sync)~99_24&sort=p I wouldn't take any of those who are 1080p 27" because a 27 with only full hd looks nasty. And yes, some games can achieve above 100 fps on 1440p like World of Tanks, Anno 1404, and similar if the settings are maxed out. And GTA V, Forza, Just Cause 3, Rainbow Six if you go with med settings I'd say using a 1440p on 24" display could make the 4xAA a 2xAA maybe even redundant
  11. https://skinflint.co.uk best website to find what you are looking for then. I could go through the 4k monitors and give you advice if you want to but for your own research on what ever PC parts, this site is great
  12. If I compare my overclocked 970 G1 gaming to the fury I'd say they are close to 4fps difference. When I use DSR (hope you know what that means) I'm not realy able to run the "beautiful" graphic intensive games. 1080p is everything I can realy do. GTA V runs at about 70ish fps and going up to 1440p is like 40-50 which doesnt look realy nice. But I guess you might upgrade you graphics card in the future ? 1440p @120fps is the best compromise. I did not find any good diplay for under 300 ( I searched for the same thing like you back then) So I decided to have more fps if possible and just use some more AA
  13. Go on youtube even google is enougth to fing out that 4k gaming is no good with a fury. Even a 1070 is not realy getting the 50-60 fps on most games on 4k. A 1080 and above is needed to realy enjoy playing. Taking the right AntiAliasing is just fine for the games you play. Maybe consider a 1440p 60 better 120 fps but there are only 3 (from: asus, aoc, lg) that I know about and those have to takes some compramises
  14. Using http://www.viewsoniceurope.com/eu/products/lcd/XG2401.php since 5 months colours are pretty good there is no much calibration needed and viewsonic provides a lot of presetting that you can apply. 1080p with 144hz is great and I personaly prefer the higher fps when having a wide range of different game types.
  15. Deliding is an option maybe some day, not necessary atm although I heard it has a real difference compared to deliding my old 3770K (which my brother is going to take over and I did not delid because the difference was minor as I researched
