Yup, the one I already picked in the original post was like that.

Mario- got a reaction from Ordinarily_Greater in PC for livestreaming of sports events and light gaming
@Ordinarily_Greater Thanks, that's better, but I need 2 PCIe slots for my capture cards, because I'll be over the budget with 2 external USB 3 capture cards. They cost much more than 2 PCIe 1x internal cards.
But that's not low profile, just less "long". If I wanted to do my build I need a card that includes a low profile bracket, like this:

Mario- got a reaction from Rambo in Scrapyard Wars Episode 1a
Definitely one of the, if not THE BEST video you've ever made. I hope the quality of this series is going to stay equally awesome throughout the entire series.
Really nice guys, keep it up!

Mario- got a reaction from SSOB in Laptop under 550€
I was also looking at that one
http://www.amazon.de/Lenovo-Convertible-Notebook-A8-6410-Touchscreen/dp/B00KH6PJLW/ref=sr_1_1?s=computers&ie=UTF8&qid=1415543170&sr=1-1
It's the same laptop, it just has 1" less and 4GB instead of 8GB.
I'm gonna ask my friend if the size is that important to her.
The last one with the i7 also looks very good. It's a little bit heavier though.
I'll present her these options with their pros and cons and let her decide what she wants.
Thanks for the help!

Mario- got a reaction from Ebinlaw in 280x vs 770 (same price)
I got a xeon because it has the multithreading of an i7 for the price of an i5.

Mario- reacted to CwGoh in 280x vs 770 (same price)
280X = AMD Games, Raw horsepower, OpenGL acceleration, extra 1GB of VRAM
770 = Whole package of Nvidia technologiy (PhysX, GSync, Shadowplay, etc) Cuda support and optimisation for Nvidia titles, better game bundle.

Mario- reacted to Kiwiandapple in Pc for about 1000€ (~1300$) for a friend

PSU: €65,19 Corsair CX Series Modular CX600M, 600W
Optical: €11,95 LG DH18NS schwarz bare SATA II
Total: €1007,60
Sorry, slightly over budget.
The case is black, for the same price you have a white one. So whatever he wants.
Anyway, why I picked those components, basicly this will give you a great gaming experience! Will max out all current titles on 1080p.
The 7970 is a great card for the price. The Haswell CPU is very powerfull and more then enough for gaming. I kept the parts that he wanted.
Only thing I would probably safe for is an Asus sound card.
Edit: in this video he is talking about a slim 3,5" mount. Now by the looks off it you should be able to fit the optical drive in there. But I dont know how the spacing will work out, as far as I can tell - I believe the graphic card will fit under it. Something i'll have to check later. You could always decide to go for an USB drive, but they are abit more expensive. (€25 for the cheapest one there)

Mario- reacted to Zimon in Post Linus Memes Here! << -Original thread has returned
Does anyone remember the 90´s sitcom "Home improvement" with Tim Allen?
Can´t help it, but Linus and Slick remind me of Tim and Al, and with all the technical difficultys during the WAN show lately maybe it should be called Tech Time! Could look like this:

Mario- got a reaction from Vitalius in AMD is "Transforming"
But they don't make much money with low end cards.
They lose because of their high end cpus, that have a really good price to performance ratio, but intel has that single threaded performance and lower TDP, that amd doesn't have.
I'm still waiting for something to happen in the cpu market, because my i7 870 just keeps being good enough.
