  1. I've been following the Radeon pack website because I'm really interested in buying the full pack (i.e. 1700X + MoBo + Games + FreeSync Monitor). A few days ago the website said Now it says Maybe they realised that only offering a discount on one monitor (that has its issues) won't sell them any packs. I mean the release is very soon, so negotiating last minute rebates might be possible but I didn't think they would do that. That's not the only confusing thing though. To my knowledge there isn't any confirmed information out there about which discounts are available where. In the community forum AMD employee ray_m says: What do you think? Are they still negotiating deals for the monitor rebate outside of USA, Canada, Australia, and Singapore? This is really confusing, I'd like some clarification from AMD.
  2. Alright, thanks for your help! (I will OC the RAM, thanks for the suggestion)
  3. Yup, the one I already picked in the original post was like that. PCPartPicker part list / Price breakdown by merchant CPU: AMD - Ryzen 7 1700 3.0GHz 8-Core Processor (€326.94 @ Mindfactory) Motherboard: MSI - B350M GAMING PRO Micro ATX AM4 Motherboard (€89.22 @ Amazon Deutschland) Memory: Patriot - Viper Elite 16GB (2 x 8GB) DDR4-2400 Memory (€109.25 @ Amazon Deutschland) Video Card: MSI - GeForce GTX 1050 Ti 4GB Video Card (€152.99 @ Amazon Deutschland) Case: Aerocool - QS-102 Slim HTPC Case w/400W Power Supply (€33.58 @ Amazon Deutschland) Power Supply: Silverstone - Strider Gold 450W 80+ Gold Certified Fully-Modular SFX Power Supply (€97.83 @ Mindfactory) Total: €809.81 Prices include shipping, taxes, and discounts when available Generated by PCPartPicker 2017-05-16 16:32 CEST+0200
  4. Looks really good, thanks. The motherboard however has one PCIe slot directly beneath the 16x slot, but the graphics card is 2 slots wide, but that's not a problem, there are other boards that have one right above the 16x slot.
  5. That's the case. There are 4 low-profile slots. Even if you shorten full ones, the card won't fit if it's too big for the case (the case is 112mm in width, so a card shouldn't be higher than 80mm or so). The one I linked (and usually all other cards that are small enough by themselves) however includes a small bracket AND is small enough for the case.
  6. @Ordinarily_Greater Thanks, that's better, but I need 2 PCIe slots for my capture cards, because I'll be over the budget with 2 external USB 3 capture cards. They cost much more than 2 PCIe 1x internal cards. But that's not low profile, just less "long". If I wanted to do my build I need a card that includes a low profile bracket, like this:
  7. I know, that's I I have a mATX mobo in my planned build as you can see in the original post. Do you have any suggestions for that planned build?
  8. @Ordinarily_Greater Thanks, but that's not what I was looking for. I want a small form factor PC (So it fits inside luggage more easily) with enough CPU horsepower to livestream and encode 3 different video streams at once. Gaming is not a priority for me at all, a 1050 ti will do just fine. @ZM Fong No I don't mind USB capture cards, but the're much more expensive, like 300€ a piece for a good quality one (like HDMI or SDI at 1080p at least 30 fps). I'd rather put that money towards a more powerful CPU.
  9. 1. Budget & Location Budget is €1000-€1500 just for the PC (with 2 capture cards) I will reuse HDDs (Seagate Barracuda 1TB and WD Green 1.5TB) and SSDs (Samsung 850 Evo) from my old PC. The cheaper the better of course. Location: Austria/Germany (I live near the border) 2. Aim I'll use this for livestreaming a yearly sports competition with 2 cameras. Recording footage for replays with vMix should be possible as well. So while streaming I want to: Record the stream in 1080p with a lossless codec Livestream on Livestream.com at 720p or 1080p (depending on what's possible) Record footage for replays All of the above using the streaming software vMix. I will also take this PC between two cities as I will be studying soon, so I should be able to fit the PC in my luggage easily. The smaller and less heavy the better. I will only do light gaming, so as long as I can get 60 fps in Overwatch at 1080p at medium or high settings, I'm happy. 3. Monitors Two 1080p monitors for work (I already have those) 4. Peripherals no peripherals or OS needed 5. Why are you upgrading? Because my current CPU (i7 870) can't handle the livestream well enough and my case is not portable enough right now. My planned build: (I'll use PCPartPicker and geizhals, because the former doesn't have as many choices in the low-profile area) PCPartPicker part list / Price breakdown by merchant Type Item Price CPU AMD - Ryzen 7 1700 3.0GHz 8-Core Processor €326.94 @ Mindfactory Motherboard MSI - B350M GAMING PRO Micro ATX AM4 Motherboard €89.58 @ Amazon Deutschland Memory Corsair - Vengeance LPX 16GB (2 x 8GB) DDR4-3000 Memory €139.95 @ Amazon Deutschland Power Supply Silverstone - Strider Gold 450W 80+ Gold Certified Fully-Modular SFX Power Supply €97.83 @ Mindfactory Prices include shipping, taxes, rebates, and discounts Total €654.30 Generated by PCPartPicker 2017-05-15 16:48 CEST+0200 Capture cards: 2 Blackmagic Design DeckLink Mini Recorder 2 * €150 = €300 Graphics card: Zotac GeForce GTX 1050 Ti Low Profile, 4GB GDDR5, DVI, HDMI, DisplayPort (ZT-P10510E-10L) €150 Case: AeroCool CS-101(EN55200) €30 TOTAL Total: €1134.30
  10. Alright! I'll probably get something like the XPS 15 9560 then. Thanks for your help! 1500€ - 2000€. Don't really want to go far above that. The Thinkpad W540 looks pretty good, because it has Thunderbolt as well, which would be great for the Blackmagic UltraStudio capture card. I'll look into that.
  11. I'm capturing cameras, not games. This laptop will be used for streaming local sports events. So 2 Panasonic AG-HPX250EJ with SDI coming to 2 AV.io SDI capture cards connected to my laptop with USB 3.0. Quality, as I said, 720p or 1080p 30fps if it's possible with 5 to 10 MBit/s.
  12. Hey I'm currently looking for a laptop that has enough power to livestream with 2 external USB3/Thunderbolt3 SDI capture cards (Epiphan AV.io / Blackmagic UltraStudio mini recorder). I would stream with vMix at 720p or 1080p 30fps so it should have an i7 quad core and a somewhat decent GPU. Streaming alone should be possible but do you think having slowmo replays (recording one camera with 60fps and then playing it back at 50% speed) is possible? I'll also be using the laptop for university (Computer Science), so portability would be a plus. The new XPS 15 looks pretty good to me, but I'm wondering if there are better/cheaper alternatives.
  13. Well, my setup is currently a Razer Blackwidow and a Steelseries Rival. The Razer Keyboard is a little too big for me, so my arms aren't very happy about that. The mouse is slowly but surely getting worse, because the rubber on the side is coming off.. So a new set would be greatly appreciated
  14. Definitely one of the, if not THE BEST video you've ever made. I hope the quality of this series is going to stay equally awesome throughout the entire series. Really nice guys, keep it up!
  15. Hey there, I'm currently using a Sony Xperia Z1 Compact with standard Apple headphones that come with the iPhone. (I got them from my dad because he doesn't use them). Anyways, the left earphone piece is significantly quieter than the right one. Because of that and because I have quite a bit of money left from Christmas I'd like to pick up new in-ears. I usually listen to orchestral music, Jazz/Swing and sometimes Pop/Rock (like The Wombats/Two Door Cinema Club) with Spotify when I'm walking to my school. I'm willing to pay up to 150$ and they should have media control (pause, play, skip song) and volume control. A microphone would be nice, but it's not necessary. Thanks for the help! Mario-
