  1. Hello, I am making sport ticker that grabs data from a website. I have put the files into a 2d array and am trying to figure out a way to project the 2 rows on the display. I am using the adafruit rgb led matrix and a raspberry pi. below is an example of the outputs that this has. I have the predownloaded information samples that I am using o draw on the matrix at the moment but feeding my own data. It only presents on one line and I would like if they were stacked and lined up the way I have them below. I added in tabs for each new item in the array below. [0][0] NHL | [1][0] Hockey| [0][1] San Jose [1][1] Boston [0][2] Nashville [1][2] Minnesota [0][3] Detroit [1][3] Chicago [0][4] New York [1][3] Vegas
  2. Thank you very much. I will look over there then to continue my search.
  3. Hello everyone, I have put together program that grabs data from a website and stores is in a single line array. It then prints this on the led matrix that I have. I was wondering if there was anyone out there that could help me convert it to just a line of text? Any help is greatly appreciated! Ultimately, I would love to break it up into a matrix that I can display and have the home team on top and the away on the bottom, but I can not even do this yet, so that's far away.
  4. I was thinking of doing it with switches, but that did not seem efficient for modularity and changing the system. Does sound like a cool idea though!
  5. Hello all, I am looking for a audio solution where I can connect my phone to a "base station" via the wifi anywhere in the house and select what rooms I want it to be playable in. I know sonos has this, but its pretty expensive and was wondering if there were any cheaper alternatives or raspberry pi/diy solutions. Thank you for your help!
  6. Hello all, I have an Arduino that I am trying to turn into a sports ticker with a led screen I had laying around. I am wondering if this is something that I can do by ripping data off of ESPN or some similar website every few minutes. My other option would be to try to do this with a raspberry pi, but I am not as good at programming with it. Something I could learn, but was curious if any of you have found a way to do it. If not then can you help point me in the right direction for how to do this with a raspberry pi. Thank you in advance for the help.
  7. I currently have the NZXT S340 ATX Mid Tower Case and have never had thermal issues thus far.
  8. My bad about the quote, but if I am wrong please correct me. If I am attempting to go up to a 5600x or 5800x I would need the newer motherboard? If I go with the 3700x I can stay with the current one. Do we know when the 5000 series will be available? I also think that going with the extra 2 cores would be helpful.

  10. I have a 34 inch LG ultrawide. that I will be using this with.
  11. Budget (including currency): depends Country: USA Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Cold war, Civ 6, Cities Skylines mainly, also CAD work and running multiple streams to different TVs from streaming services. Other details (existing parts lists, whether any peripherals are needed, what you're upgrading from, when you're going to buy, what resolution and refresh rate you want to play at, etc): Hello, I am attempting to upgrade my system. The current parts list is: - AMD Ryzen 5 1600X - Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO - Asus PRIME B350-PLUS - Corsair Vengeance LPX 16 GB (2 x 8 GB) - Asus GeForce GTX 1070 Ti 8 GB - EVGA G3 650 W 80+ Gold I am looking at potentially going with the update below: - AMD Ryzen 7 3700X - Cooler Master Hyper 212 Black Edition - Asus PRIME B550-PLUS - Corsair Vengeance LPX 16 GB (2 x 8 GB) - Asus GeForce GTX 1070 Ti 8 GB - EVGA G3 650 W 80+ Gold I am in college and know that I don't really need to make this upgrade, but I have some money and why not. I am also not sure if I should get a 5000 series, but they are very hard to find at the moment. My next goal would be to get a new GPU once things are available around this time next year. Please give me some input. I would appreciate it! If you would do anything different please let me know.
  12. I have a Asus B350-Plus motherboard with an Ethernet cable connected to the back of it. I have been using this connection for half a year with the internet going in and out a couple of times. Each time it was only 20 minutes or so. Where I am at now is the computer cannot find the internet, and the back of the computer does not display any lights on the port telling me data is being read or sent. This lead me to try to reinstall the drivers for the port which I did. I found the newer version and a older version than I had previously installed. I attempted to use both versions to fix the issue, but I found same result as before. I am wondering what I should try to fix this issue. Would buying a network card fix this and I can get a better motherboard later down the road?
  13. If I were to install the OS onto the SSD and transfer the data to the SSD the way I normally would in Disk Manager how do I then get windows off of my hdd? or do I just run with both drives having windows on them?
  14. It is windows 10. Thanks Ill give it a try
  15. If I already used the key wont it not net me use it again? or are the keys reusable?
