  1. i'm cool with the temps now, the max is my average gaming session: temp limit 88, PBO -10 and ECO Mode, i think the main source of heat is my GPU, is the MSI 3080 Ti Suprim X 0.850mv@1830Mhz, is a warm boi, i think i need a new case. t the 7700X boosts 6.4Ghz but it only lasts a few seconds. lol Anyway, i think i'll buy a Fractal torrent compact but i don't think the GPU will fit, maybe a be quiet 802 thx for all the help.
  2. i reseated the cooler and changed the paste from cooler master to be quiet's one and these are the results, PBO -10 no eco mode: Gayming(BFV): watching a youtube video(after BFV): Its better, but on the warm side, but i think is normal, it took around 10 min to reach the 95c This is with PBO -10 max temp 85 and AMD ECO 65W mode in bios: after playing BFV, i guess is worth noting that i have a 3080Ti. i guess i'm a bit disappointed with how warm the CPU is, the performance is great tough, couple of questions, why am i not be able to see the eco mode on ryzen master? : and is the HWMonitor 90W consumption normal for the 65W ECO mode profile?
  3. thx for the reply, already re-seated once, i can try again. case is an old cm scout 2, with 2 front intake fans and 1 side intake, 1 rear and 1 top exhaust. the dark rock pro 4 is with both fans. is it normal for the CPU to be at 76W on idle?
  4. I have a Ryzen 7 7700X on an ASUS TUF X670E with BIOS:0821, and a Dark Rock Pro 4 on a fresh windows 11 install. And i'm experiencing high temps at idle, between 67-75C at idle just browsing pages or YouTube. On load temps are around 85C which is fine, but my issue are the idle temps. Tried manual eco mode(PBO Limits: PPT: 88 TDC:75 EDC:150), and the BIOS 65W eco mode with no difference. Even at 100% fan speed the temps don't go any lower. Is this an issue with the processor or motherboard? This is at idle, the only thing opened is hwmonitor. Doubt is my case config since i had a 7700k at max 75c before.
  5. I have an XFX R7870, it has served me very well but i need a new card for my bros PC, so i guess that is the best excuse to change mine and give the 7870 to him
  6. i see, thanks, btw i fixed the washed out look by just reinstaling the Catalyst drivers. /thread
  7. Hi guys, im trying to calibrate my monitor since i updated drivers my constrast is way too high and even at my monitor settings or at the ccc settings alwasy leaves that washed out look. so while calibrating this happes to me: the quality is shit but you can tell, no matter where i put that bar the brightnes resets automatically, is that normal? im using a LG 22MP55 IPS LED monitor, with a 7870 and it was working just great until i updated to the latest BETA drivers. thx
