I would like to build a very cheap and basic pc to use as a youtube player and steam in home streaming (1080p 60) i'll probably use steam big picture, and always leave it on, it wont ever be used as a desktop. (and also probably uninstalling everything that is not strictly needed so the 2 tiny cores dont chug) I was thinking an athlon 3000g or should i step up to an 2200g. As far as i know both of them have the same video decoding hardware capability again goal is as cheap as possible. Please keep it on AMD platform, intel is more expensive in my country

Thanks, i think i'm going to go with a 6700 xt sapphire nitro +. I was kinda scared of gpu sag, but it seems this card is actually lighter than my rx 580... so shouldn't be any problems there..

What would be better in both speeds and reliability? Sata with dram cache or dramless nvme? I'm fine with sata speeds, but both are the same capacity and price. Specific models are: WDS500G2B0C vs Wds500g2b0a

Lock your fps to your refresh rate with rivatuner statistics (it comes with afterburner). it wont make your pc not magically drop any more fps but it will make it much more stable wich in my opinion is much more important than getting more fps but a worst experience. Also if your not running the game from a ssd, maybe defragment your hdd?

A few months ago i bought a Asus VA24EHE, it is 1080p @75hz. I mean it's pretty cheap but i been super happy with it. It has a "sRGB" mode that supposedly comes pre calibrated. I calibrated the normal mode with a professional color calibration and change was pretty minimal so it was mostly ok from factory, only the white point was a bit bluish. You don't even need a color calibrator to fix white point.

Yeah like you said im not counting on it. I was thinking maybe with tv's bringing freesync only through hdmi but well.. I guess i'll wait and if it turns out to not be compatible i will go with the AMD route. Thanks!

Do you think new Ampere nvidia cards with hdmi 2.1 will support freesync through hdmi like amd cards? I bought a new monitor few months ago with only hdmi. I dont think it will be "retro compatible" with my hdmi 1.4b (retro compatible as in freesync, obviously it will display image)

Hello, first of all sorry for my bad english. Im looking for a monitor in the 100usd range, i would like it to have freesync and 75hz . I've been considering this models: Acer SB220Q 22" (48-75hz) ips LG 24MP59G 24" (40-75hz) ips Samsung F350h 24" (48-72hz) ips Samsung C24F390FHC 24" (48-72hz) va LG 24MP59G 24" (40-75hz) ips I'm using it mainly for gaming and editing, keep in mind that i'm not doing any color critical work, only montage. I know that in this price range there have to be compromises, but what would be the better buy? I'm not looking for a curved monitor but it would be ok, also im not sure what would be better between ips or va. And last please im from argentina, this monitors are 250ish usd here so im already in my limit price range Thanks! TL;DR what would be the better buy of the monitors listed above (features, better color, quality of panels), any problems with any of this models

Hi Sorry for my english im still learning. Yesterday i bought a rx580. Today i reinstalled windows 10 and it automatically assign 2gb of my 8gb ram to dedicated graphics?? Even though i have a graphics card installed Uefi is correctly reading the sticks of ram. (Windows is in spanish because im from Argentina lol)

Its common in usb sticks after making it booteable. Try format with a program called low level format. Remember to create new partitions with the disk manager It will work but REMEMBER CREATE PARTITIONS

I Currently have a R9 270 pair with a Fx 6100 Black Edition and use it for light video editing. In the not distant future im going to buy a new pc with a zen cpu and polaris graphics. It would be great to have a new graphic card because its hard for me buy all pc components all at the same time and realy need it for my slowly transition to professional video editing job.

Use something like a converter box (component video to hdmi) (yes, the ps2 supports component cables and even some games are in 720p or 1080i)

Open the program, and click in the vídeo tab, next to the download button and then swich the output format to original

Media human will do the trick. i'd recommend download the songs without convert them in any format (it download in original m4a format)
