The black one will ship 3-4 weeks here in Australia while the white will ship on the 8th... Guess no one wants the white one?

Can't really vote on the poll when I can't pretend I am a motorcyclist since I am one. Joking aside, I wouldn't mind paying $1000 for a helmet with HUD as long as the other aspects of it (such as safety, comfort, noise isolation etc...) is top class. I'm always against listening to music while riding as it one element of your environment away from you but that is just myself. As long as the HUD is non-intrusive it is going to be nice to have the extra information and not having to look down to see the GPS screen. I'm just worried how much the battery in it is going to weigh as I hate heavy helmets ....

PCCaseGear How good is it really? (Australia)
revz replied to Serbian_Souljah's topic in General Discussion
PCCG is good. Prices are comparable to MSY/CPL for the most part and customer service is good. They also pick up their phones! My only gripe with them is the fact that they don't have a retail store but only a pick up point. The time for them to collect your stuff from their warehouse and give it to you also depends on how many customers are picking up their stuff. But since you're looking at postage I guess that doesn't apply to you. Havn't heard anything but good feedback about their postage . Although depending on what you're getting, it may just be better to head to the closest MSY/CPL etc... and grab from them since if I remember correctly postage for small and cheap things is relatively pricey. -
Could human blood be used as coolant in a WC loop?
revz replied to delet my acc pls's topic in Off Topic
If you do it (not recommended) just make sure you don't expose the blood to tissue factors or coagulation is going to be a problem. -

revz replied to MayflowerElectronics's topic in Audio
Been looking for something to use in the office especially since the headphone out on the office PC is so bad (hisses whenever the CPU load goes up). Would like to get the O2/ODAC since the reviews for them seems very decent. Now just gotta build up a few more post... =(- 118 replies

Bullet proof vests uses Aramid fibers, or more widely known as Kevlar. Carbon fiber too brittle to be used in energy absorption applications.

Local school gets 1:1 iPad student grant... Is this the future of teaching?
revz replied to cnelson3225's topic in Tech News
Although I'm not denying technology does help education as information is spread more easily, I always believed the teacher themselves is the most important part of education. Through my education a good teacher and a bad teacher makes a huge difference in my enthusiasm about their respective subjects. That's why I believe money should be spent on teacher training first then technology or in general teaching resource. Ofcourse a minimum amount of teaching resource has to be given to the teacher but ipad does not constitute as "minimum" teaching resource. Also without a good teacher, all that is going to appear on those screens will be candy crush saga. -

What you are saying is that any physical sports requires much more skill than chess? Sorry but I have to disagree here. I agree physical sports will require much more physical attributes but skill is an broad term not only limited to physical abilities. I believe something like chess requires a different set of skills to physical sports such as the ability to predict many of your opponents moves ahead of time and setting up your pieces accordingly to counter (only listing one of the many). On the topic, what I have trouble with is what constitutes as an athlete. Just a quick quote from dictionary.com from a quick search of "athlete". 'a person trained or gifted in exercises or contests involving physical agility, stamina, or strength; a participant in a sport, exercise, or game requiring physical skill.'. Although I know e-Sports players do go to the gym in order to ensure they have enough stamina to play through tournaments with extremely harsh schedules, I don't think the time they spend on training their physical attributes is any way near athletes of other sports to be considered "athletes". Not to mention why are pro-players of games other than LoL not considered "athletes" if professional LoL players are.

Why did you choose AMD over NVIDIA or Nvidia over AMD?
revz replied to matin94's topic in Graphics Cards
Chose AMD over nvidia because the 7950 was one of the best bang for buck when I was buying my card in Australia. Never settle further solidified my decision.- 282 replies

Well to be fair, a bit of the difference in Australian and US prices is due to GST (which is 10%) although in most cases even if you take out the contribution of GST, the US is still significantly cheaper in most cases.
