On that n Memory Compression is better on Maxwell 2 vs Hawaii, different chips are optimized differently. hawaii is a big chip with more "hardware" that needs feeding (like Fury X with 4096SP and not enough ROPS, but more than enough bandwidth), while Maxwell is smaller and less bandwidth limited.

if MSI did put the biggest cooler they could on a 60W 750Ti Half hight than there was a good reason for that. -
Are you real? You wasted money on a rebranded+higher clocked HD7850 ? when you already own a 7870 that you can easily OC past 1GHz (to a 270 clocks) Your 7870 is a 1280 Pitcrain core = R9 270/X or 370X, you just replaced it with a 1024sp pitcrain core = R7 265X/R7 370... return the 370 and bump the clocks on your 7870 and wait till polaris 10 is available.

FYI , the 7490M is rebrended 6490M.. so really the FPS is probably fine, you are just feeling the effects of this being stupidly slow for today's standards.. this is a really small pre GCN chip, Is is probably weaker then a GT610 .. another thing, As far as I remember you can enter your serial on the MS site and download the proper W7 iso that came with your laptop and use W7 usb creation tool.

If its an intel based machine, then the way it is connected is nvidia GPU - Intel IGP - Display, that way the Discrete card can be off and you can use your computer on the intel IGP, when its needed the nVidia driver would turn on the dGPU while using the IGP as a "connection" to the display. so in order for this to work your shouldn't disable anything in the control panel. you can enter the bios of the machine and look for gpu mode selection, many laptops with nVidia dGPU and intel GPU would let your chose between integrated only and optimus setup.

99% precent is fine, turn off Vsync on the others game, if they are not hardcapped at 60FPS then you should see higher usage of the GPU. -
You shouldn't switch it to "disabled" you have an Optimus enabled laptop, the display connected to the IGP while the IGP does Pass-though of the display buffer from the 840M, if you have problems with optimus check your bios to select the dGPU instead of optimus.

Beta drivers are stable drivers, they just didn't pay for MS's POS "cartification" (thats means nothing from the last bugy drivers we saw)

Your core clock looks too low at the low 400Mhz, that;s less than half of the 3d clocks of the 380. Did you connect the power plugs properly ?

What memory do you have installed ? It should run league on higher settings. its the APU with the most powerful GPU.

When a process is new the amount of defects in the chips per yield are still high, that's the reason why the 390/970 segment dropped so low in price, the process was so old they had no choice but to drop the prices until pascal/polaris comes, now they have no reason to sell the 490/1070 as low as 300. the 1060/480 that will replace the 390/970 in performance will cost that much. especially if the reports about maxwell being discontinued are true. the last of the stock is being slowly sold right now until pascal comes out.
