  1. Indeed, Although looking at it the Seasonic GX Series has Native 12vHPWR now. Maybe it's time to live on the edge! I'd rather limit the 12vHPWR Melting to the GPU Side, But seems it's all moving towards native So my choices now are Seasonic GX 1000w MSI 1300 C1200 or TT GF3 Or an RMX NON SHIFT with a set of Cable mod cables
  2. This i didn't think of! Now that's a spanner in the works, Maybe wiser to grab a Seasonic GX
  3. Width And i really wanted the shift. Long story short, Drive cages + PSU are interchangeable in the XL. With both Cages in (Which i use) The modular cables wouldn't fit. Which is such a pity, I COULD just buy a new case, as long as the 011 XL Evo or 011 EVO Fits it.
  4. Even if this is the case, using Tier list with ATX 3.0 as a reference, they are 1200, Bar the shift which i can't use in this case.
  5. So let's just start over on this. RMX Shift Would point the modular cables UP or DOWN which will not fit due to the drive bays and or case bottom. Length doesn't matter at all. As i said the RMe1000/1200 will fit fine. Then length between the RMX Shift and RME aren't the issue, it's where the modular cables exit. UNLESS you mean the non RMX units, which i didn't mention in my post
  6. I didn't say dimension is the issue i said the modular cables are, which would attest to width. The 1000E is fine, it's the shift i mentioned that has the issue of fitment.
  7. Length isn't the issue it's width unfortunately since the Shift would point the Modular cables either UP or DOWN depending on orientation and there is no room. PCPartpicker showed 1017w, and Outercision and BQ showed 1075/1095. Even so, the price difference is neglible between 1k and 1.2k
  8. Yes i know this is the case, hence why the PSU's mentioned are from this list
  9. PC Partpicker - OuterVision 4x 10TB Drives 4x 2TB NVME 1x Elgato 4k Mk2 13900k OC'd 4090 Strix OC'd 10 120MM Fans 2x Pumps
  10. Looking for some recommendations on a new PSU as my Snow Silent 1050w is currently suffering with the worst coil whine imaginable. It's coming up to 5 years old anyway. I'd also like a natice ATX 3.0 cable, as adapters to my 4090 are an ungodly sight to see. So i have a few ideas, and a £350 budget. First PSU was the Corsair Shift 1200w, Only downside is that doesn't fit in the O11D XL because of the drive bays, And unfortunately i use those for mass storage so removing isn't an option Secondly was the MSI MEG Ai1300P - Little pricey and unsure how well they are supported custom cable wise Thirdly was the HELA-R 1200W And Lastly if i can find one was a Corsair RME1200 Any others to look into? Preferably to order tomorrow, so i can get friday delivery in the UK Reason being - is the rig this is going into is estimated to be 1095W.
  11. With the rest of my build, the estimated wattage is around 967W, after Fans, 8x Storage, Cooling, Elgato 4k Mk2, I think I can mark it as solved, as the MSI Meg is only £330, and has everything I need in 1 package, I checked the latest tier list and it's yellow for BIC so that seems like the logical answer. My snow silent needs replacing for a few reasons. It's coil whine has gotten to the point it's unbearable, it over powers any other coil while including the awful > 100FPS CPU coil whine my awful D4 board gives ( replacing that next ). And I'm not a fan of adapters, so native 12VHPWR is beneficial.
  12. Needing an upgrade from my Seasonic Snow Silent 1050w. To couple with my 13900k and 4090. Thinking of grabbing the RMX1200 Shift but looking to see if any users in here have one and an 011D XL to see how close it is to the drive caddies above the PSU slot, unfortunately i use those slots so removal isn't really an option right now. If space is a concern any other PSU in the same quality bracket?
  13. It's loud enough to hear through headphones. And my missus to hear watching TV. It's definitely bothering me. I've never in my 12 years building heard it this strong, and only when over 60FPS or launching VR.
  14. This is a reddit post with the exact same whine. It's making gaming unplayable without headphones. At this point I'm highly regretting this board. Since I can't return it for a refund as I'm over 30 days. Are there any boards DDR4 wise that can handle the 12900k and not drive me crazy with that insane whine?
