  1. You can also have a look at HTA's. You can pack any HTML/Javascript/VBS into an exe. For creating the HTA's, I recommend HTAEdit. It allows you to convert your HTML/Javascript directly into an exe. The trial version should be enough to get started.
  2. Thank you for this info, these are definitely some helpful search terms! Cant seem to find anything here as well (I'm in Germany btw) Then I may have to go in this direction. Are there any "Go to" models you can recommend here for a small budget (I realize small budgets are difficult when regarding sound devices)
  3. Thanks for this great input! #4 does seem like the best option, but doesn't it still leave the issue of the TV already using the optical input of the receiver? Where would I plug the output of the PC into then? #3 I'm not using the TV as the monitor for the PC, and from what I've researched I cant pass video from my graphics card into my PC monitor and use an HMDI output to just pass the audio, as HDMI doesn't carry audio only. #2 looks very good, this just pulls the audio from my HDMI and passes it to optical out, while the rest of the video signal is passed in to HDMI, correct? If so, do you know if this exists in a displayport format as well? I have a freesync monitor for my PC and plan on using this feature one I get the rest of my setup. #1 also looks very promising, I'll have to do some further research on this method. Again thank you so much for your help!
  4. Motherboard: Asus Z170M-Plus Amp/Receiver: Yamaha BRX-610 TV: Grundig 40 VLE 2012 BG The TV's a bit crap, and its hard to find info on it online so I've added a picture of the ports on the back. Thank you!
  5. Hi, to start off: I know absolutely nothing about audio equipment. I'm trying to setup my 5.1 system with my PC and my TV. This is where I'm at so far: (I hope the diagram isn't too confusing) What I want to do Is have both the TV and my PC connected to the Yamaha Box (Amp/Receiver? Can't find out what it actually is). I was think of hooking up the TV and the PC to some sort of "Audio Switch", where I could select which input I am using at that moment, and it would transfer it to the Yamaha Box. Something along the lines of this. Which would lead me to my question: Since my Mainboard only supports has 3-Jack 8-Channel Audio I/O ports (copied from the ASUS website, this means nothing to me), what would be the best way to connect both the TV and the PC up? Would something like a sound card with optical out and an optical audio switch be a decent approach? Or am I on completely the wrong track? Thanks 1000 times in advance, Lopais
  6. I just built a new rig and haven't bought a new GPU yet as I'm still waiting for custom 480 boards... So right now I'm gaming on my Intel HD Graphics 530 from my i5 6600k.
  7. I'd love to be able to easily unplug my PC (without spending 10 minutes crawling around under my desk unplugging cables) and put it in a backpack when going to other peoples houses!
