  1. Minimizing? Viewers LITERALLY followed the instructions given to them by Mark who was hosting the stream in the first place. They were told "post emojis of a color to make your choice." This isn't minimizing, this is people losing their accounts for trying to interact with a content creator in a way the creator asked for and encouraged.
  2. Exactly. Even worse, imagine losing your Gmail account, including access to receipts, bill transactions, business communication, etc., all because you posted some emoji's on a gaming channel's livestream when they asked you post those emojis. Just as bad, imagine being locked out of any site that you registered to using your Gmail account and now can't access because they need to verify your email/reset your password using an account that Google killed. This isn't just a matter of people being inconvenienced on a site for watching videos. This has the potential to create literal financial and business crises for real people.
  3. I apologize if this isn't the sort of thing that's usually on here, but the amount of mistakes Youtube has just made is so insane that everyone needs to be aware of this (especially Linus - I would love to hear his take on this and make him as a content creator on the platform aware of this). If you don't feel like watching the video below and want the tl:dr version, Markiplier did a livesteam going through his premium special with fans and had viewers spam colors in the chat to choose which direction in the special (this is a "choose your own adventure" style thing if you're confused by this) he takes, so viewers would post lots of emojis as was instructed. These viewers then had their ENTIRE GOOGLE ACCOUNT banned automatically and appeals being denied almost instantly with no reason provided. No, not their Youtube accounts, their GOOGLE accounts, including Docs, Gmail, Drive, EVERYTHING GOOGLE, GONE!
  4. Have they fixed the whole "bends with little effort" issue? The closest Apple store to me is almost 2 hours away, so I don't want to have to guarantee myself a trip there because of lack of rigidity.
  5. I'm currently in the market for either a laptop or a tablet and have not yet found one that has made want to throw money at it. My old Asus kicked the bucket a couple months ago and my 4th Gen iPad is beginning to show its age, including having a broken headphone jack. I already have a desktop for gaming and more power usage as well as a Galaxy S10 Plus, so I'm mainly just needing something to live comfortably in between these two, being used primarily for on the go internet browsing, emails, and media consumption (light gaming is a plus, but not really needed - that's what my Switch is for). I'm hoping to keep the total price under $1000.00, but still want to have something that isnt slower than my current iPad - also, has a headphone jack for my HD 598s. I'm flexible in regards as to whether it's a laptop or tablet, so whatever recommendations you have would be appreciated.
  6. I'm running a Google Pixel (the original) currently that has just been paid off at the end of its 2 years. I was hoping to hold out for the S10 Plus to at least see what it had to offer, but the battery life on my phone has gotten so bad, it can't even get through a workday without a charge (yes, I've done a reset/yes, I've checked the apps), so I don't think this thing is going to last me until March when that comes out. That being said, I'm looking to get this sucker replaced soon, but every option I look at seems to have some major issues that I'll highlight here: - iPhones are iPhones - All jokes aside, my work phone provided by my employer has been an iPhone 6S that was just updated to the 7 this week (exciting, I know). It runs ok and I haven't had any real issues with it, but I cannot stand iOS at all! The small, quality of life things that I often take for granted as an Android user are just missing from the iPhone, such as widgets, customization, and not having all of your apps always on display and always locked into that God-forsaken grid. - Samsung Can't Into Upgrades - Before I had my Pixel, I had the Galaxy Note 4 and the S3 before that which I did very much enjoy. However, the lack of proper updates and software support that seems to somehow STILL be an issue with Samsung makes me hesitant to return to them. I can remember the looooong wait to get Lollipop on my Note 4 and how unenjoyable it was - not to mention that the phone did not get any Android version past Marshmallow natively. - Pixel 3 XL was so close but so far - I thought about sticking with Pixel, but a couple problems with the latest iteration. 1, no headphone jack. I know it seems minor, but my main drivers are Sennheiser HD598s, so I'm not interested in getting Bluetooth headphones that aren't going to sound as good (or forking out a ton of money for a pair that will get close). 2, even more minor point I know, but Jesus Christ that notch is hideous!!! I don't like notches in the first place, but that one is just an absolute eyesore. - I'm in America - Huawei/OnePlus/Xioami/etc. are not really all that well supported or available in the Land of Muh Freedom. I will also need to finance this sucker cause bills, so just buying the unlocked phone from OnePlus outright with upfront costs isn't much of an option right now. If I'm going to compromise on any of these issues, what actually is the best choice to make to get a phone in Feb 2019?
  7. As far as size, it's not an issue. The room itself is big enough for just about anything (probably why I didn't even consider mentioning it).

    Need A Desk

Wasn't sure where to post about this since this isn't technically a piece of "tech," but my current desk is now falling apart, so I'm in the market for a new one. While I mostly use this currently for my gaming rig, I will soon be starting a job that will allow me to work from home, so I will need something that has additional room for a work-provided laptop/tablet (leaning towards an L-desk, but am not completely set on it if there are better options). The largest obstacle I have is my ultrawide curved monitor that has a rather large base, though I am considering getting a mounting arm for it if I need more workspace provided the material is sturdy enough to actually clamp the arm on. Being that I'm trying to keep it under $300 USD, any recommendations of a desk that will fit all my needs and last?

    Mic or Headset

Thanks for the help folks! I'll definitely just be getting a regular mic at some point, but I'll be using WO Mic (Android app) until I get it ordered and delivered.

    Mic or Headset

Currently using Sennheiser HD 598s that I have had now for several years (still in great shape, can't recommend these more!), but am getting more into online gaming, so I will need to get something so I can actually talk to teammates/friends. Would getting a second actual gaming headset be worth it or should I just get a mic? In either case, any recommendations based on my usual audio quality?
  11. I was hoping to avoid this, but I seem to be stuck. Thankfully my SSD has enough room that I can still use my PC. Thanks for your help!
  12. It only shows the SSD, not the HDD.
  13. I just reinstalled those drivers and the issue is still persisting. It's not showing up there either
  14. I can't. The only drive that shows up in disk manager is the SSD.
  15. My build has a 240gb SSD that acts as a boot drive with some additional storage and a 1TB HDD. My Bios (Asus z170i) detects the HDD in the boot menu and boot priority, but Windows refuses to even recognize it's there. It shows up in device manager, able to check for driver updates, but will not show up in Disk Manager at all! I've tried switching SATA ports on the MB itself, but Disk Manager will not show it or let me do anything with it. What is going on here and how can I fix it???
