"I never let schooling interfere with my education."
- Mark Twain
If one is terminally ill, they should have a right to try anything and everything to save their life. No government buearucracy should stand on the middle of a doctor and their patient:
Well, looks like you got your wish - it says in the description that the "right to try" is now federal law.
I don't think people should just go and try whatever just to see if it works though - the consequences might end up being worse than the disease, even if you're terminal. It's good to have the option of trying experimental treatments if you're desperate but it's important to consider the risks.
For the love of god, can we please have the ability to add tags to status updates.
I follow everyone who follows me, and you know why I do that? Because everyone has something interesting to say.
The things I primarily like to see are the cool projects everyone has been working on. Did you build a PC recently? Did you get a cool job? Did you get into a relationship recently? Have you built some super-awesome AI thing I can't even think about?
I also want to hear about your failures. Did you lose a friend recently? Did you fail a class in school? Did your business fail?
The things I don't particularly enjoy seeing in my feed is shitposts. Now that doesn't mean I don't enjoy a shitpost here and there, but my entire feed is filled with them, from all people. I see plenty as it is. I also don't need to hear about mundane everyday things like feeding the cat or driving to work.
Tags would allow me (and many others) to follow as many people as we want, but easily sort through the crap and cater our feed specifically to interesting things.
If you've been following me for any length of time, you will know I make posts on:
1. Long-ass Ranty political topics.
5. Life Events
There are ton's of people that probably don't want to hear about thing one, but things like 3 and 4 might be interesting. The receiver of the post could then whitelist tags so they would only see that specific thing in their status updates.
I think this post falls under the "other" category of rants.
Because 300 CAD for that combo is a great deal. Unless you are me and have connections to computer recyclers, thats pretty much gonna be the best thing you can get from the "catered" secondhand market. OP could buy this combo and sell it at a profit. OP could also take advantage of the much cheaper DDR3 X79 offers. That being said, if OP has a GPU, A stick of DDR3 and a PSU, BRING those thing with you. Make sure the board and CPU combo at least boot to the bios. Older motherboards are more prone to break than RAM or a CPU over time.

Some hypocrisy on Bernie sanders:
Dear Bernie: Now that your income is in the 1%, how about you pay that 70% tax rate yourself?
Oh, you're not gonna do that because you are somehow special? I see how it is.
Rules for thee, but not for me.
Trump should release his tax returns as well.
CUDAcores89 replied to CUDAcores89's topic in Guides and TutorialsI have made a business of doing this. I paired up with my colleges business incubator program so I have legitimate backing now. I can walk in and present a business card and show that I am a legal business with all the required paperwork. Maryland is a liberal communist state, so I see why you are having problems.
Could be a PSU issue potentially. Unplug the PSU from the computer and short the green and black wire using the "paperclip" trick. This is a quick and dirty way to see if a PSU works or not. If the fans on a PC dont even spin, usually there is a problem with the PSU or the motherboard.
Ive been working with hundreds of computers for years. Never ONCE have I killed a PC just by dusting it off. Start by getting your PC just down to its basics. Inplug all storage drives, unplug all the RAM except for one stick, and use integrated graphics if available. Then see if it boots up
There are two things one can do with their money:
1. Use it to buy stuff.
2. Use it to buy Assets.
One fills your garage and provides temporary happiness.
The other buys time and allows you to never have to work again.
Which one are you?
