I often see threads ending with "Thread locked.  This content would be better suited as a status update."

 

How come I never see "Status update locked.  This content would be better suited as a thread."?

    There are a couple status updates like that, however they usually wont get locked. People just tell them to make a post about it instead.

    Status updates rarely get locked and when they do it's either way too many replies or things getting very political.
