I have alienware 15 R3 and im using WD Blue SN570 NVMe as my main Boot drive and the other one which came with this laptop (the crapy toshiba one ). Both works fine. The Toshiba one was boot drive before but it had very bad stats so i had to replace it.

i wish it could but NO. Bios is very basic in alienware laptops. No such options available. Intel Locked the undervolt settings in Intel XTU and others softwares if the BIOS is updated to certain version. even the bios rollback does not allow undervolting.

mine is Alienware 15 R3 6700HQ. I repasted many times but temps never improve.

Thank you. I have checked everything still confused why the temps are not good. Should i try liquid metal thermal paste?

- Thermal pads are in placed. Not sure how to check if they are dried out or.. - I can see air coming out from fans but its hot - Yes OEM fans - all vents are clear

Hi, So i have repasted 4 times like in a 6 months period and i have even replaced the both laptop's fans with new ones but i see no improvement in temperatures. What i'm doing wrong? few things from side: - Using laptop Cooler - Vents are clear - Bios Up to date - Room temp not high - No virus or anything, fresh installation I can not under-volt because of my Bios update version with Intel XTU, neither under-volting works with throttlestop. So under-volting is not possible. CPU temps go to 100C even with loads like 10-30%, where as GPU is fine at 99% of load. Please help.

Yes its a good keyboard, mine lasted 4 years then it started typing double keys if i press any button. Although i do not have a good experience with ReDragon products. After Kumara died i bought the redragon k580 vata which is very expensive keyboard but unfortunately it died within 1 year, the whole Home,End Arrow Up/Down area got malfunction and now when i press any button it only type the numbers and symbols.At the same time i bought the Mirage WIreless Redragon Mouse and its scroll wheel does not work anymore. -

When buying a system nowadays, how long should one wait to upgrade?

I'm not talking about the new parts. i meant for example if someone is going to buy a Ryzen 5 2600 (low budget) and year after he can easily swap it with the best option available. -
