I'd get the ASUS VP279Q as it is cheaper and if your dad isn't doing much gaming he doesn't need the higher refresh rate.

Final evolution is Water/Fairy, which gives it a huge type coverage (Fire, Ground, Rock, Dark, Dragon, Fighting) and some nice resistances (Fire, Ice, Water, Bug, Dark, Fighting + Dragon immunity).

Considering how many Dragon types there are now, that Dragon immunity is a huge bonus imo.

JayzTwoCents recommends 120mm of radiator space for every component you intend of cool (with the exception of VRMs and RAM, since they don't output enough heat to have much affect). If you plan to overclock, then he recommends 240mm of radiator space for every component, although some cards, such at the 1070 and 1080 can overclock on a 120mm with a good fan while still being relatively quite and reaching temps between 40 and 50c at load.

Something to note, thicker radiators mean more cooling capacity, but doubling the thickness does not equate to double the cooling capacity and it requires more room. Fin density also can make a huge difference, but higher density also means higher RPM to push the air and more turbulence (more noise).

I'd say the 360 and 240 combo is a little overkill unless you are going for a near silent system.

No GPU OC or fan speed increase, 24/7 CPU OC.

I'll be taking #1 for 1440p and 4K (at least for the time being)

the newer gpus wont be much faster because valley does use the compression thing, you will need very very high cpu clocks to get higher on 1080p

It's ideal to have 1gb ram per 1tb of storage. Yes 32gb is overkill. 16gb will be fine.

well... you can drop that ram to 8 or 16 GB because its useless to have 32GB everything else its ok... its nas... anything works for that.... and the mobo.. yeah.. its a waste of money.....

The motherboard only has 2 DIMM Slots, not 4. So if you upgrade your RAM to 16GB, you'll have to buy a 16GB (2x8GB) sticks to upgrade, where doing 1x8 will save you money later on as you only have to add in one stick.

you could go for a cheaper PSU, like one with 80+ Bronze instead of gold. and you don't really need a CPU cooler unless you are gonna overclock, and you can't because its not a z97.
