  1. Hello all, thanks for clicking. I’m in the market for a laptop for my mom. She isn’t exactly a power user, no gaming and such, but definitely has a lot of tabs open in Chrome. My criteria is: NVME storage Touch screen with 360 degree monitor for tablet mode At least 16 gb of ram Price: no more then $1200. Not sure if NVME is possible in that price range, but I’m curious to hear all of your recommendations. Thank you!
  2. Thanks for the response, I ended up going with NordVPN. Much appreciated
  3. So I have a question I couldn't find the answer to on google. I've setup a VPN on my computer, following guides on youtube. My question is can my host computer also connect to the network? Essentially, do I need to have a second computer in order to run the VPN? I'm getting the error : The connection was closed by the remote computer. I have assigned ip addressed to IPV4 on the incoming connection and have port forwarded on my modem. Thanks for your time
  4. It does support 4k, but only at 30hz.
  5. No I'm not planning on gaming, sorry I should have specified.
  6. Hello all, I have a 4k tv and an 1080p monitor, but unfortunately my R9 270x can't push 4k past 30hz, so thats no good. I'd basically like to be able to watch 4k content (media) when it finally comes out. Do you know the right GPU for the job? Thanks grefa
  7. I took a little video of the line. Well I did try plugging the PC into multiple ports on the TV and they all show a different form of the error. Different lines and rectangles. Different colors too. It's a smart TV so I tried Netflix and it worked fine.
  8. I took a little video and picture of the line. IMG_0406.MOV
  9. I have a Power Color R9 270x pushing a 1080 120hz TV and a 1440 Montior. The TV uses the HDMI port, and it's been doing some strange things ever since I began overclocking a bit( guided by the LTT GPU overclocking database). When i'm watching a movie or gaming, sometimes a thin line of "Snow" (the way an old TV looks when there's nothing on but the TV) comes accross the screen. Some times the screen totally freezes into strange rectangles and lines of different colors. Only with a hard restart can you set it back. My Displayport connection seems to be fully functional, so I think I might have screwed up the HDMI port somehow. Even after reseting the overclocks and setting the TV's 120hz back to 60hz, the same issue happens. I'll take a picture of it next time it happens and I'll post it here. Here are the specs: MB- Asus M5A-99x EVO R2.0 99x GPU- Powercolor R9 270x CPU- AMD FX-8350 MEM- 8GB GD5 Thanks for your input.
  10. Hello all, thanks for coming. I'd like to push a 2160 TV and a 1080 monitor, not necessicarly at the same time, but capable of doing so. I was thinking one of the EVGA 980 Ti cards, but what do you think? My rig is seriously bottle necked right now by my R9 270x so any help is much appreciated
