Sometimes its how one is able to do the most out of one's e-peen. You can have the largest e-peen, but if that e-peen can't outlast a shorter e-peen... yeah...
In terms of GPU's, if the smaller e-peen is able to do much more than a larger e-peen, I'd take the smaller e-peen if I had an e-vag. My e-vag would have a much more enjoyable time with that smaller e-peen.

Its understandable, thats the thing with 2nd hand parts, you dont know what they've been through and how long they might last, but a well trusted brand like Asus or something will use quality components that will last longer, if it works when you test it and it doesnt look in bad shape then go for it

Honestly, this is the kind of discussion I was asking for. I was expecting like "you dumb motherfucker" and shit in all honesty.

Well, given how hardware in general progresses over time (physically less in size and count and more on performance in practical usage and numbers, so on and so forth like more count in a smaller size and still ending up with more on performance), I honestly believe the 780 Ti could still take it.

yeah, except in the world of GPUs specs dont mean anything unless you're comparing identical chips and architectures, for example a 770 and 780ti, or 760 and 770 or whatever
nvidia has been able to crank out a lot more performance from the lower core count on the 900 series
software has a LOT more to do with performance than people think
and the fact that they are bringing all that performance to the latest generation of GPUs only is disappointing
but no, the 700 series was not nerfed, just left behind

1) no, its actually not
misleading advertising is not illegal
false advertising would be telling you it has a graphics card and then you open the box and there is a paper card with some graphics on it
2) yeah, I'm not saying that leaving old GPUs behind with no optimization is a good thing
im just saying that all the theories about the old gpus getting "nerfed" are wrong
their performs seems to be going down, when its actually new GPUs performance going up
this isnt particularly good practice, IMO they should keep optimizing for older GPUs even when new ones come out, at least for several more years

I just have some questions to ask while I agree with you, though.
1.) Isn't misleading effectively the same as false?
2.) If that was the case on the 780 Ti being the same, wouldn't it make sense that the least that Nvidia would've done is that the 970 and the 780 Ti perform marginally the same?
Uhm, what?

Sometimes I wish I bought a 290X.
But yeah, hate to say it, even if Kojima wasn't screwed by Konami, Witcher 3 deserves GOTY. Its kind of those games that I wanna "stop and smell the roses" kind of thing and enjoy the little things that the devs added as a bonus, which in itself is worth it.

Some games don't even support SLI. So, yes, a single Titan X would be a great choice within what OP is deciding on.

I'm on an uncapped plan, too. Sometimes Steam is annoying as hell at times (unless someone can give me a full guide that can let me install physical copies of games without DRM's like Steam, Origin, Unity, etc... screwing with me) and ISPs in my country are pretty much under a monopoly... and its SLOW!

LeeWonky reacted to GeekJump in Should EA Give Us the SW:B Season Pass For Free?
Whenever EA's name is on something I hesitate. They are masters of making the content before launch and selling it to people in pieces spread out across the year. Unfortunately they have some nice titles (dragon age, mass effect, etc.)
Will EA ever make their DLC free? NOPE. Should they? If they are actually adding worthwhile content, no. But if its just stupid game modes and maps yes (I think new maps should be free for any multiplayer game)

LeeWonky got a reaction from LokiFire in CS:GO's New R8 Revolver
Well....
It'd make sense if a sniper rifle or explosives would do this, but a pistol? Before anyone brings up a multiplayer game from the past, present, etc... that has done this, can I just say that in the era of shooters were some realism has to be in it at some point... a .357 at that distance shouldn't really do that in real life at that distance (assuming the guys in the vid bought armor). A 44 magnum or a 50 cal like the Deagle, in real life, would do that. Not bringing up the realism factor here, but something with more mass, and the appropriate caliber, should logically be able to do that. But the .357? Piercing kevlar and flesh in a row? 2 guys dropping would make sense, but 3? Thats just straight out imbalanced. If the Deagle can't do that for the sake of balance, the R8 shouldn't be able to do that.
Hell, even without kevlar/armor, shouldn't there be some form of diminishing return of damage per pierce? -
LeeWonky reacted to DKM1129 in Digital or Physical Collection?
I prefer getting physical copies mainly because my ISP is really shitty and downloading one new AAA game would result in my bandwidth getting shaped even though I'm on a uncapped plan -

LeeWonky reacted to SSL in Best way to test difference between new and old headphones
Ah, of course. Linus does a video on a headphone and so immediately everyone runs out and buys one, because "Linus sez".
This kind of activity is fairly pointless. Just listen and enjoy with your new headphones. If you really must compare, then select a number of tracks (at least 30 minutes worth), listen through them with one headphone, then switch and repeat with the other.

Now, I don't claim to be an expert but I do own a pretty decent setup Fostex hpa8 and th900, with a pair of 1964 A12 on the way in a few weeks. The people that replied are just trying to save you some money, and if you don't want to heed their advice then go ahead and buy whatever you want. I personally can't tell the difference between flac and mp3 even with my gears, but if you can then more power to you.
