$350? No fucking way - maybe an $100 fee, but not $350.

The only direction NZXT should be fucking with this service is right off

N3v3r3nding_N3wb reacted to dexT in EU proposing new AV rules: More European streaming content, stricter Anti-Hate rules
Let's say someone states that McDonald's is nasty. The maker of the speech ban or enforcer loves McDonalds with a passion and becomes triggered AKA has suffering over it and it is demonstrable as false (because they love McDonald's). The result is that someone is led off and jailed or worse all within the boundaries of what you want as the law.

Any banning of speech will grow to cover more and more topics including benign criticism.

It's up to the enforcers what is "Demonstrably false" though and what "Suffering" is. It's also up to who's calling the shots and their beliefs/agenda.

Im against any censorship or banning any kind of speech.

Opposing politics/religion/sexual orientation/etc can easily be twisted to fit any definition.

To be fair, having a computer lab set aside for the use of one race is literally racist. Doesn't matter if you're white, black, brown, yellow, pink, purple, or blue, racism is racism.

Twitter isn't any better. Trust me on this; have you ever looked at any of Trump's tweets? Almost always flooded by one guy posting an anti-Trump comment chain.
This is what we in the trade call "vote manipulation".

In not sure where you live, but I feel like it can be reasonably assumed that you live in the West, as the vast majority of people on this forum do. Anyways, in most Western nations, overcrowding isn't really a problem, and birth rates in quite a few Western nations are falling below death rates (data.worldbank.org/ vs. http://data.worldbank.org/indicator/SP.DYN.CDRT.IN?year_high_desc=truehttp://data.worldbank.org/indicator/SP.DYN.CDRT.IN?year_high_desc=true), which is harmful to future economic growth and general social stability.

N3v3r3nding_N3wb reacted to porina in Intel tells Core i7-7700K owners to stop overclocking
To quote from the link, an Intel spokesperson is claimed to have said:
I think this is nothing more than generic butt-covering. If Intel were to say "it's fine, do what you want" then when it breaks, they could be liable for that. The stance is nothing more than "you could do it, we don't recommend it, so if you break anything, it is 100% your problem, not ours". That's standard overclocking risks.

He has no legal right to do that. It's still the property of Blizzard. That'd be like ransom, and Blizzard could sue him for crap tons of money (or just have it forcefully recovered and returned by police).

N3v3r3nding_N3wb got a reaction from Artechz in Turkey Blocked Access to Wikipedia
The Turkish government blocked access to Wikipedia recently, citing national security concerns.
This has opened Turkey up to further criticism from human rights watchdogs.

There's way more info in the articles, so if you're interested, check them out.

Since political discussions have been banned on this forum, I'll have to keep my opinion somewhat short. This is worrying, because not only are they restricting their citizens' access to other people through certain social media blocks, but they're now directly and openly blocking access to large sources of information. It's starting to look like the Ministry of Truth.

This is not strictly pertaining to Turkey, but it has to do with freedom speech and information: this has become a problem all over the world now, not just in the Middle East, China, etc., but in the West as well. It's extremely worrying, and the fact that this isn't an extremely popular subject of discussion and public outcry is also worrying -- we're rolling over and letting the government do whatever it wants to us.

"Hard times create strong men. Strong men create good times. Good times create weak men. Weak men create hard times" -- someone (I remember the quote, not the author/philosopher).
