  1. Found this: The creator of this thing has already implemented it into Premiere to use it as a timeline scrubber. The possibilities are endless. * Can be used as input as well as output * force feedback * it's based on a Arduino Pro Micro, so you can easily upload your own code Links: Git: https://github.com/electricrelay/SlideBar You can get one via this not at all sketchy googleforms thingie: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSfQd6KOMCcHu8fT966TgSOMQ_Pf-V-VNePGllTq_nilvPeDng/viewform?c=0&w=1 it appears to be a student's project of some sort
  2. Could you be so kind to provide us with some background info. What tasks do you want this server to perform on a daily basis?

  4. I assume you did connect an 8-pin or anything the like to provide enough power to the GPU?
  5. Interestingly I recently used a computer with an SSD as only drive and could really notice boot time difference once an (although older) HDD was added to the system.(sata 600). I've read somewhere that it might be because of windows indexing the drive on boot. Fast boot time is paramount, did you ever experience such thing? (I might have to mention that the OS was win7 enterprise and that this so called problem might have been resolved in win10)
  6. Dear all, I was wondering if you guys might be so kind to help me out here. I'm planning on building a new rig, one that preferably lasts 5 years or so. I'd like to have an unlocked multiplier because I would want to experiment with overclocking in the future. But everything is up for discussion of course! I'd also like to explore the avenue that is hackingtosh. Anyone aware of the hardware requirements? I would really appreciate your input. BTW: I'm from the Netherlands and the price sits around €1886 atm (incl. taxes). Please kindly point out any mistakes I might have made. https://pcpartpicker.com/list/vxbKsJ PCPartPicker part list / Price breakdown by merchant CPU: Intel Core i7-6700K 4.0GHz Quad-Core Processor ($329.39 @ SuperBiiz) CPU Cooler: NZXT Kraken X61 106.1 CFM Liquid CPU Cooler ($114.99 @ Jet) Motherboard: Asus Z170 PRO GAMING/AURA ATX LGA1151 Motherboard ($153.99 @ Jet) Memory: Corsair Vengeance LPX 16GB (2 x 8GB) DDR4-3000 Memory ($93.99 @ Jet) Storage: Samsung 850 EVO-Series 500GB 2.5" Solid State Drive ($164.99 @ Jet) Video Card: Asus GeForce GTX 1070 8GB Video Card ($429.99 @ Jet) Case: Fractal Design Define S w/Window ATX Mid Tower Case ($69.99 @ SuperBiiz) Power Supply: Corsair RMx 650W 80+ Gold Certified Fully-Modular ATX Power Supply ($109.99 @ Newegg) Other: Iiyama ProLite XB2483HSU-B2 Black ($170.00) Total: $1637.32 Prices include shipping, taxes, and discounts when available Generated by PCPartPicker 2016-12-12 16:10 EST-0500

  9. exactly. the result showed us that the device with the ip 172.16.254.254 is only 1 hop away. so are you certain it is your modem? try instead of using an ip connecting to http://Edimax-Gateway/ that might work if the device has a discover able hostname

  11. your computer can assume certain power profiles e.g. battery saving, performance or balanced dependent on the profile the laptop might not go into sleep when closing the lid
  12. might have something to do with the power profile
  13. and thats the ip of your modem correct? that would mean that you are directly connected to your modem and therefore can't access your router
