Kaws reacted to Boomwebsearch in Battery Cycle 107 for Ipad Pro
Yes, I am certain about the 1000 charge cycles with 80 percent battery capacity retention for the iPad Pro. It depends from model to model of battery when it comes to the rating of charge cycles, although modern batteries are being built with higher durability and capacity to store more energy than ever thought to be possible before. Generally, Lithium-Ion batteries have good durability when compared against other types of batteries for use in mobile devices.

Kaws reacted to Mira Yurizaki in My pagefile.sys is 48GB???
The old rule of thumb used to be 1.5x your RAM capacity would be sufficient. But obviously 24GB is a good chunk of space on your storage drive. So I think a better option would be to look in Task Manager -> Performance tab -> Memory page to see what your "Committed" size is (after using the computer for a while) and base the page file something around that. Maybe somewhere around 0.75x to 1.25x or whatever you feel is reasonable
It shouldn't, but the gist of it is the "Committed" value is how much memory is being reserved. The memory doesn't have to be in actual use but the OS has to make it available. So if you're not running out of physical RAM space, the OS will dump unused committed memory pages into the page file when apps need to use memory. And dumping unused memory pages to the page file is almost a free task because there's nothing to copy.

Kaws reacted to Master Disaster in Using a capture card to play PS4/Switch
Did you actually read his post?
He wants to know if he can buy a capture card for his PC and hook the PS4 up then play on his monitor. He literally answered your 2nd question in his post.
Btw capture cards do not "just make videos out of it", they take an input video signal and allow you to show it on the PC screen or use it in an application, very much the same way a webcam works. Separate software is required to make any kind of video, or indeed stream the display.
OP yes you can do that as long as the capture card comes with software to display the capture on screen, or you could just use OBS I guess. As for cost? I can't help you there.
One worry i would have is latency between the input device and the display, I really don't know how bad that might be.

Kaws reacted to GoodBytes in Windows 10 ISO? - Key in BIOS help
You can get the ISO file here:
https://www.microsoft.com/en-ca/software-download/windows10
(Click on "Download tool now" button).
When you run the setup, pick the option that it is for a different PC, and insert your USB Flash drive or disk, and you are off. The setup will download Windows 10 ISO, and prepare your disk or USB flash drive.
The product key of your system is stored in the UEFI chip. In the setup, if you are asked to enter your product key, click on "I don't have one" link on the dialog box, and the setup will resume. Once Windows 10 is fully installed, you install your drivers, update all the Apps, and check for Windows Updates, by that time Windows 10 should be fully activated.

using your computer to calculate problems for other organizations; they use your computer power to make up for their lack (not that they don't have alot, but you just can't have enough computing power eh?)

Kaws reacted to Tedster in Lenovo - Windows Clean Install no key on laptop but in bios?
Supposedly if you get a Windows ISO you will be able to run it without a key for a while if it doesn't pick it up.
Take a look here.

Oh. I see. You now need the key to legitimately get the ISO.
Depending on how far you trust this site/article: http://www.pcsteps.com/45-download-windows-7-iso-legally-free/
