Yeah i assumed it was going to downclock but i dont understand how the 1333mhz stick is running at 1600mhz

I bought an 8gb stick of hyper x fury which runs at 1333mhz and mixed it with corsair vengeance 1600mhz. I assumed this would mean the RAM would run at 1333mhz but when i check speccy it says its running dual channel at 1600mhz. Is this normal?

Oh ok i just read somewhere that if its different voltages it can fry your motherboard or something but there wasn't much on this topic anywhere.

If they did both end up working there wouldnt be any issue with the fact one is an 8gb stick and one is 4gb would there? Would it just work as 12?

I have one stick of 4gb DDR3 which is 1600mhz and one stick of 8gb DDR3 which is 1066mhz. I know that if i use both they will both run at 1066mhz but my question is...Is it safe to try them together? I don't know anything more about these as they are pretty much no name sticks. Could i break my pc by mixing them or could i test it quickly without doing any damage?

Ive ended up getting some cheap chinese mouse for days when my rat 5 wont work but since the issue comes and gos most of the time ill use my rat 5 most likely.

They probably wont be out till 2017 you could be looking at volta gpus too.

Drivers seem to dramatically change everything when the 980 launched the 780 ti was about equal and now its way worse.
