Lost Administrator rights on Windows 10
BurnedPriest replied to BurnedPriest's topic in Troubleshooting
Just an update, apparently the admin rights for the C drive where wiped somehow and I couldn't edit them from my main account. I tried many different things for many hours but ultimately I couldn't edit the permissions or perform a system restore because I had no rights. As a last ditch effort I logged in to another Windows installation on another drive that I luckily have and to my surprise I couldn't access the said drive from there either. BUT from this installation it did let me edit the permissions so I gave it to everyone and when I went back to the original installation it finally let me do a system restore. So everything is good, thanks guys! -
So I f*cked up because I wanted to install an app to monitor network traffic in my home pc and I tried doing that by installing SolarWinds Orion. Apparently it's a very sophisticated tool that I had no idea what it's doing and it ended up installing a TON of software including SQL server packages (that still don't know how they work). After it finished and I realised that this is not what I was looking for, I uninstalled 34 pieces of software using IObitUninstaller and from then on I lost access to my main C drive and to a lot of settings and features in Windows that require administrator rights. When I try accesing C I get a message that access is denied. I'm fairly knowledgeable when it comes to computers but I have no idea what to do. I can't perform system restore as I, again, don't have admin rights. I'd appreciate if someone can put me out of my misery.

With an RTX 2080 on 1080p on the Mumbai level, I saw as low as 30something fps when it released. And generally I saw huge drops in large areas. It was pretty ridiculous, I hope that shit is fixed for when I replay it, whenever that is.

Ryzen 3000 Series will be launching at CES plus new radeon card!
BurnedPriest replied to Nicnac's topic in Tech News
I don't get it, how is the Ryzen 3000 not the 7nm chips? -
That sucks man. Myself, I'm kinda losing hope that it's softaware related. Well, if it means damage to the gpu, I can't ignore it, even if it's not that annoying ?

I think it's pretty obvious to me that I'm f****ed but I could use some opinions. I noticed while playing Hitman, that in some specific spots across different levels, I get artifacting in the form of black blocks appearing all over the screen. It's always on the same spots in the levels and when looking at the same place. Also, it's more obvious when playing in DX12 mode. I thought it could be something trivial but a few minutes ago I got this on the black screen after finishing a level.... Is there a hope for me or should I get the noose ready? The pricing for the i9 is not that bad if they are available for ~430 euros, considering i7 traditionally go for 400 on launch where I live.

TweakTown: NVIDIA GTX 1180 Launching on July 30
BurnedPriest replied to AtlasWraith's topic in Tech News
The confusing part is this: What was the point of this part? There is no catch and you made it seem as if the statement in the title was the miscommunication mentioned, thus making the title false. There was absolutely no reason for that part, I had to look up the original article to clear this up. Maybe I'm just stupid, dunno. -

What the fuck is this misleading topic? Nice title. -
We can only hope that PUBG Corp. wins, Epic is made to pay billions in compensation and consequently goes bankrupt , thus Fortnite is never played again and dies a slow and painful death. Fingers crossed.
